    Alyssa's Bunny Blog!

It's been a little bit since you updated this space -- how's the new bun doing? How about Bugs and Evie? :)

    Alyssa's Bunny Blog!

Alyssa, I love following your little blog, and I just wanted to pop in here to say that you're doing a fantastic job and that it is ok if you take a breather and just let the buns be by themselves for a bit. I love my rabbits -- they're so important to me, but you also come first, and Bugs is...

    Alyssa's Bunny Blog!

I'm so happy that they're doing so well together! I was really hoping and praying that your bonding would go smoothly this time around -- since I can only imagine how hard it was to bring back Lola after you must have gotten so attached to her

    Alyssa's Bunny Blog!

I’m loving following this little bonding journey! It’s been very informative and really interesting to watch [emoji3526]. Your new little Rex girl is absolutely precious!

Would really like to get a rabbit.

Just so you have some more data to pull from in regards to $ amounts, I use Sherwood pellets and get about 10lbs for $32. I have large breed rabbits (English Lops) so they eat about a cup a day right now (EL's are notorious for being hard keepers so they eat a bit more than even another rabbit...

The adventures of an English Lop (and his family and friends)

...also, let me just say how dangerous it is that I'm marrying a man who is 100% ok with me bringing home all of the abandoned animals. In the last month we've ended up adopting another bunny (who will be here in about 6 weeks), we've almost ended up fostering 3 day old kittens (that someone I...

The adventures of an English Lop (and his family and friends)

It's been a minute since I've posted here! The last few months have been crazy busy, but Edmund has been doing fantastic! He definitely hit the jackpot by moving here, although Kyle and I still have a lot to do in order to get his run finished. Hopefully we'll be able to get it all finished and...

Parents want me to rehome my bunny.

That cage is about the size of my buns litter box...You can, for about 100$ TOPS build a really nice enclosure [emoji3526]. I have done enclosures using wire storage panels and using puppy pens with plywood for the base and linoleum on top. I can upload pictures in a few hours of some of my cages.

Parents want me to rehome my bunny.

How small is small? Minimum cage size for any bunny is 16 square feet [emoji3526]. And I don’t understand what you mean by a litter box with no sides to it? To contain the litter it has to have some sort of sides to it? I use a Rubbermaid container with holes cut out on either side, so he can...

Parents want me to rehome my bunny.

Litter training would CONTAIN the mess, not the other way around [emoji3526]. Just make sure to use the pine stall pellets with their hay on top [emoji3526]. Totally takes away all the smell!

Parents want me to rehome my bunny.

Hello, and welcome! So, I’m going to take a guess and say that your bun is /probably/ not litter trained? I they’re not litter trained that’s the first thing I would work on! Just google litter training rabbits and you’ll get a lot of information :) Secondly, I live in a legitimate tiny house...

    Taking rabbits out in public

I take my English Lop out all of the time and he has an absolute bLAST. He loves all of the attention and loves his carrier [emoji23][emoji1319]. He’s a huge ham and SUPER confident in any environment...he’ll even try to jump up and check out a circular saw when my fiancé is using it [emoji849]

What type of Lop is my Rabbit?

I’ve had lots of lops my whole life...and have an English Lop right now! Your guy, as people have stated above, is definitely not an English Lop <3. They’re large, and their ears are ridiculously large. My guy can’t walk without stepping on his (not that it slows him down much! Based on his ears...

    Allergic to hay?

I actually had to switch fROM Orchard to Timothy...I was having asthma attacks every time I’d handle it (even though we store it outside of the house in a water proof container), and would get hives everywhere. Using the Timothy has really helped...I’d say to try a meadow hay or something...

    Outdoor Run Ideas

My fiancé and I are about to move our tiny house onto 40 acres...we’re planning on getting a livestock guardian dog or a llama after we pick up some meat goats next years. As such, I’d love to build an outdoor run/hutch for Edmund to get outside and run around some. I would wed something...
