Spent lots of time with Doozy lately, and he is definitely Rex. I got to examine his features up close. His fur does stand straight up, and he seems to be getting softer now that it is winter.
If the fur stands up for Rex breeds, it does on his little face, but the fur seems to lay mostly flat over his body. Which leads me to believe he may be a mix of French or other breed. Who knows, it could just be from petting him. His personality is really warming up and now he is fully potty...

Our bun bun, Doozy Bear was a rescue, we are not sure of his breed either. I wondered if he was part rex, but there is not a large poof in front of his chest. Short hair; rings around eyes calico markings body is mostly white.
