    Successful abscess treatment?

Good new update! It appears that the injection and cleaning it up has worked! Not to sure how it worked but it has completely gone down and looks like just a bit of a scrap, no sign of the big lump that was there! I am truly amazed and quite dumb founded as i had been expecting that it would...

    Successful abscess treatment?

Hey there everyone I'm looking to get some advice on how to go about go about successfully treating an abcess. We took my rabbit piglet into the vet today to get a lump on her face seen to as I was pretty sure It was being caused by an abcess and after a good look over it was confirmed that it...

Our male lop scheduled for neutering but I am skeptical-they do not offer pain meds !

Yup most bun vets suggest at least 4 weeks before introducing to other buns (if they are both desexed) both for that reason and to make sure they are healed up properly. Sounds like your boy is doing well but as watermelons said it's best to keep him confined to make sure he doesn't pull...

    Baby bunnies advice please.

Ohmy goodness, so many harlequins <33 and is that a magpie harlequin too?! Lucky! They look perfect to be honest, chubby little balls of fur :D Looking a lot like mine did at that age so I think your alright ^-^ (Although this picture was at just under a month old)

    Baby bunnies advice please.

I just use plain rolled oats as I know there isn't anything special in them but you can always check the labels to see if there is a difference between different kinds :) I would love to see some pics of the babies if you can get them! Expecially little fatty belly ones :D

Our male lop scheduled for neutering but I am skeptical-they do not offer pain meds !

My vet also had pain meds as an option and not a requirement but there is a good reason for that, for one the boys tend to be up and hopping very soon after surgery(The vet actually had to give him quite a bit of pain meds before he came him so he wouldn't pull his stitches!) and two most vets...

    Baby bunnies advice please.

By 3 weeks my guys (rex X lop mixes) were putting on about 15-25 grams a day so it does sound like yours aren't quite eating as much as normal(although i don't know if it is normal for lionheads as we don't have them here.) Mine were eating quite alot of solids by 2 weeks though and had all but...

    what breed is my bunny?

Wouldn't be able to tell you for sure but could definitely be a nethie or nethie mix and the colouring seems to be fawn or something similar.

My rabbit is being an ***hole.

You'll probably want to get him desexed before you bond them along with the 4 or so weeks after the operation so that the hormones have all gone and the rabbit has recovered enough. My vet will desexed at around 5 months of age as long as the rabbit weighs more than 1 kg, not sure if it is the...

    Bonding Help?

You might be going to fast for them, bunny bonding is not a quick process 9/10 times. A few things though, if she is new she would only just be settling into your home so putting her in with another rabbit so soon can really shake them up. If she isn't desexed that could be another problem(i am...

    Bed Time Issues

Nice to hear it's helping, guess I'm not just a crazy bun owner after all! XD As for the picky eating I am not surprised, females sound like they take a bit more time than the males to get back to normal, as long as you've got some critical care on hand if she's being stubborn about eating...

    Eww gross

Not quite haha what you've probably found is that your bunny has excess calcium as it turns the pee white. Try cuting down the the high calcium foods and it will go back to normal eventually :)

    what breed is my bunny?

Defiantly sounds like a nethie but can't be sure without at least a pic, does he have short, pointed ears? As for the colour, it wouldn't be agouti as that is patchy brown/grey colour that the wild rabbits have.
