I actually just learned a really neat trick about head tilt ( but too bad I can't remember it!). One of the top rabbit savvy vets here told me he watches which way the eye moves. If it moves horizontal vs vertical, it indicates if its an ear infection or it its neurological. I'm a new mom of a...
Lol you sound just like me! I have 17 rabbits (10 are UVic rescues) and I too work at a vet clinic but on the north shore. Let me know if you're going to need help fund-raising or any rabbit rescuing!

When I picked up my stray Uvic bunny.. she had two mass abscesses hanging off her right hind ankle. Xrays showed it had seeped into the bone. At the time, the option was to amputate.. but my vet wanted to try and save her leg.
He had told me a combination of penecillian injections + zithromax...
Whoops! The other dutch baby has heterochromia too! Partial heterochromia actually.
The black one with blue eyes- One of her eyes is actually half brown half blue. And the other one is completely blue.
There are also three harlequins in this litter.. talk about a variety pack!
Thanks! I looked up the vienna gene.. The mom is an orange rabbit but she had two dutch cross babies. One is a black and white dutch x with blue eyes, and the other is a salt and pepper dutch x with the one blue eye and one brown eye.
One of my 9 week old baby bunnies from Uvic has heterochromia. She has one blue eye and one brown eye!
But neither her mom or her seven siblings show a dominant trait. So because I don't know if its hereditary or not.. how do I know if her heterochromia is caused by something problematic?
Is a glucosamine and/orchondroitin supplement ok for a rabbit to have?
I'm asking because of my rabbit, Sydney.. a stray little bun whom I caught 6 weeks ago. She had a fused ankle and an infected hip. Although the infection is cleared now,her fused ankle could cause longterm problems.
I'm going to Philadelphia in three weeks, and I'd definately like to know where to shop for bunny friendly items! Oxbow is cheaper in the states than in Canada.

These rabbits are extremely social. They are very used to people, and are well known for climbing up your leg and munching on veggies just inches away. The two I have are more friendly than my all my rabbits combined. So please don't go around saying awful things like that...
I'm at work right now.. been here all day. And I've been fighting with a woman to surrender her cat to me. This cat came in for a euthanisa over a tail abcess. Oh the joys of working in a clinic!
He's in my care now, and a mere $150 vet bill (I had everything done for him! Vaccines, tattoo...
