    Rehome

Thats a good idea. I wasn't planning to just give him to the first person who answered an ad. I'd have to make sure they were worthy of my baby :) I'd have to talk to them a few times and meet with them first. That's why I'm giving myself plenty of time, so I hopefully don't end up at the last...

    Rehome

I hate to do this but I need to try and find Pip a new home. I'm moving soon and I'm unable to take him with me, and my friends aren't able to take him in either. I'd hate to have to take him to a shelter because he needs a nice home with someone to love and snuggle him :) He's about 4 years old...

    Will more fiber help?

It's been about a week and I haven't given Pip any fresh greens. The leaking seems to have stopped, but it was sort of slowing down too when he went to the vet, so I don't know what the deal was. There haven't been any spots on the carpet and his poops are firmer and much less mushy, and they're...

    Will more fiber help?

Thanks for all the advice. I'll cut out the greens and treats for a week and see what happens. He didn't get a lot of treats to begin with, so that won't be hard to cut out. I'll hold off on greens and see if it makes a difference. I don't think he dislikes his pellets. He's never had a problem...

    Will more fiber help?

I'm not sure which area to post this in, so I apologize if it's in the wrong one. Feel free to move it :) Pip has been having problems with leaking off and on (mostly on) for about a month. It started out of nowhere and it just won't go away. I think it's due to megacolon since his poos range...

    Megacolon?

Well the place I'm taking him is an exotic vet office and he's seeing their rabbit person, so I'm hoping they can figure something out. Maybe I'm wrong and it's not megacolon, but he doesn't act sick really. I know if it's genetic there's not much that can be done, but it seems to be getting...

    Megacolon?

I've been having trouble with Pip, my 3 year old mini lop. He's got the white with broken black markings that they say is common in megacolon bunnies. He was fine up until maybe 2 months ago. He had some leakiness that wasn't diarrhea and it lasted for about a week and then stopped. It was gone...

Antibiotic side effects/Bladder stone/Blood in urine

Thanks for the advice, I'll see if I can find some of the horse probiotic anywhere. There should be some farm stores around so I'll just check if they carry it. Yeah Pippin is picky. The vet techs were all cooing over how cute and well behaved he was during the exam, and then when I went to pick...

Antibiotic side effects/Bladder stone/Blood in urine

Yeah Pippin is so picky about everything. He won't eat canned pumpkin either. He just likes to make things more difficult I think :) I can try the powder on his greens and maybe he won't notice it if it doesn't have a taste, or sprinkle some in with his pellets so I'm not having to hold him down...

Antibiotic side effects/Bladder stone/Blood in urine

I used up my last tube of bene-bac on Friday so I need to go buy some more. I'd get the powder but he's so picky about anything new on his food, I don't want him to stop eating. Does it have a taste? Since I'm giving him syringes already I think the tube would be easier, even though he's not too...

Antibiotic side effects/Bladder stone/Blood in urine

He seems to pee a bit at the same time as he leaves some droppings so the vet's best guess is that it was just blood from the urinary tract and it got on the poo. She said there didn't seem to be any problems with the GI tract. He puts up a little fight with the antibiotics but overall he seems...

Antibiotic side effects/Bladder stone/Blood in urine

I finally got my Pip back and it's good news. They did a fecal smear, CBC, and ultrasound and everything turned up normal. There is no sign of any bladder stones so I'm relieved. They tried to get a urine sample but they said he was cranky and had an attitude and kept flipping over the empty...

Antibiotic side effects/Bladder stone/Blood in urine

I forgot to add, the little bits of blood/tissue that was on his poop yesterday only happened that one time. I haven't seen any since then so I don't know what it was from. He was still eating and drinking fine this morning and ran right out to say goodmorning as soon as I turned on the light...
