I'm new at this & want to toilet train

Give it some more time...8 weeks is so young. :) Keep on doing what you're doing (along with adding some hay) and you should get some good results. BTW, many rabbits are never fully trained until after they are neutered/spayed.

    Is Cappybun unhappy?

There are some buns, like my girl Bella, who get gas from too much Kale. She'll get a belly ache and not want to move too much, but that's not necessarily true for all of them. Maybe sub out Kale for other greens for a bit for variety? Leaf lettuce, romaine....etc....just to see if it might...

Bonding: Neutered Male to Unaltered Female?

You would have A MUCH better chance if they were both fixed. BTW, males can still be fertile for many weeks after being neutered, so be careful if you do introduce them that you wait.

    Bonding question...

I seem to have hit a bit of a wall with Jack and Bella. There are doing very well for only meeting a week ago. They can spend hours together, groom each other, and seem comfortable with each other. I tried to put them in a neutral cage (They had been in different bonding type environments)...

    Rabbit Lady on Dr. Phil.....

I agree. Someone else made a point that they can't access cecotropes with diapers on all the time. She was way over the top. The story of her wanting her grown daughter in a bonnet with a bottle is concerning, and don't get me started on trying to breastfeed her rabbits.

    My bunny stinks

Yep...we have friends that have an bun that's not neutered, and he smells quite a bit. I never notice an odor with either Bella or Jack. I do clean litter boxes every day, though.

My bun is going to hate me :(

We have hardwoods all over our house. There is a large area rug for the buns, and we also have smaller rugs and even bathmats for them, lol. They are getting used to the wood, however, even though they can't go quite as fast.

    Well we did it!

We did a three hour session tonight! Bella stopped nipping Jack in the butt, and Jack finally decided to groom her. So, I think we're making great improvement. :woohoo

    Well we did it!

Thanks! I wish I could say that it's love at first sight, but it's not. Bella is a tough one. Bonding isn't for sissies. :thud:

    Well we did it!

We brought home our second bun this last Sunday. He is a rescue from the same Humane Society, and is estimated to be a year or two old. He's a sweetheart, and we've named him "Jack." He looks identical to a Californian, but he's smaller (about 4.5 lbs) so I'm assuming he's a mix. The first...

    Senior bunny - concerning behaviour

I'm so sorry...I just read through the thread. You and your bun will be in my thoughts.
