His noise is actually very rare, not even weekly, I think it happens when he's in a bad moult. My vet has listened to it and said it's coming from his larynx but we're not really sure if it's connected to his heart - but his breathing is slightly laboured when he gets it. It rarely happens...

I can't say for certain, but to me it looks like there maybe fluid around your buns lungs and based on symptoms, it may be worth trialling a diuretic - I'm in the UK so we use furosemide liquid. This is what we've done with my bun for the last few weeks and it has stopped the choking episodes...
