How much does a vet visit & spay/neuter cost for a Rabbit?

Oh well probably. Both the vets look young and could be intern, I was in direct contact with their professor and perhaps he would have explained better. Anyway. 2nd day after the surgery, they looked mighty fine. I came home in the evening to find they have devoured all the pellets, vege and...

How much does a vet visit & spay/neuter cost for a Rabbit?

Such an odd right? I dunno if 50% is medical theory or what but in reality, could be like only lesser than 10% of such tragedy would happen. That's rather more comforting. My buns are doing well. They may be less energetic but they are eating and drinking which is good sign.

How much does a vet visit & spay/neuter cost for a Rabbit?

Both my bunnies had the neuter done today. Now they are resting. It cost me MYR 350 to fix both, which is roughly USD 83. The doc gave briefing prior the surgery and said there were 50% chance of the bunnies allergic to the anesthetic that could result in death and also 50% chance the bunnies...

In tears, 1st bunny and she just started hating me .

Actually female is even more territorial. Haha. Spaying a female would cost more than neutering a Male and as you won't want them to keep breeding, you would definitely need to get them fixed. Also female may show sign of false pregnancy so they would tend to build a nest. There must be enough...

In tears, 1st bunny and she just started hating me .

My thought is that you would need to seriously consider that. I, too, thought that getting a friend for my bunny would make him feel not lonely. They socialized well for first month but then the next thing I saw was Snowball chasing Pepsi around, whether it was inside the enclosure or outside...

    Shy New Rabbit...Help!

When I first got my bunny, I don't have an enclosure yet so he was free to roam around for the first week. He would hop right to me every morning when I came out from my room and every evening when I came home from work. But after with enclosure set up and I have to handle him for nail clipping...

    Netherland dwarf rabbit weight

Yes. :) his black fur covering his body with white one at the bottom, just like pepsi drink with fizzy gas.

    Netherland dwarf rabbit weight

I don't find my Pepsi's face smooshed at all. But anyway, he's a lovely bunny.

    Netherland dwarf rabbit weight

Yes. His ears are longer. My doc also said so. When getting a ND, the price also could subject to the ears' length.

Try bring your bunny to local vet for quick check. They could tell the breed and age quickly. These are my bunnies. Snowball and Pepsi and I trust you could figure which is which. ;) Pepsi is a 5 months old ND and weighted about 900 grams, as confirmed yesterday after I weighted him and...

    Chewing her feet

Took this picture last week. As you can see the fur has grown back on Snowball's front paws, with the ND Pepsi's left foot on top of Snowball. Doc said Snowball was much older than I've been told by the breeder and he was a cross breed of Havana and others, probably 6 to 8 months older by now...

This is what I got for my bunny, as recommended in the pet store.

    Chewing her feet

Hi All, Some updates. A she is actually a he! I have brought bouth to the vet and it has been confirmed Maya is a buck so I've renamed him Snowball. Doc said he was infected with mange, a sort of mite, so both have been given jab, twice in 2 weeks. Hoping to eliminate all the mites. I also...

    Netherland dwarf rabbit weight

I also cannot tell this is a ND or dwarf to me. A ND got a very compact body and smooshed face and very easy to tell. I got a ND too he's about 5 months old but still weights 600 to 900 grams.

In tears, 1st bunny and she just started hating me .

Not an expert myself as I just started raising rabbits for 3 months but I watched a lot of youtube to learn about rabbit's behavour. I think bonding with rabbits could be done via food, not just hay.. or vege.. or pellets but treats! The best treats I've learnt from Howcast is raisins. Get a...
