    The Tobester

Toby is awesome, he responded well to the antibiotic drops and his runny eye has cleared up completely. Wednesday marked his 2 year "coming home" day or gotcha day, and I took this picture to commemorate it.

    The Tobester

The vet I'm going to owns the practice and specializes in ophthalmology in small and pocket pets, so I really hit the jackpot with her.

    The Tobester

Well figured I'd toss up a quick update. Toby was doing great, until today. He has a weepy eye, his right one. I booked an appointment for 9am tomorrow. He is eating fine, so I don't think it's his teeth. Here are some pictures. If anyone even sees this, keep him in your thoughts...

    Friends adopting from the Congo

My good friend and her husband are unable to have children. Their story is truly heartbreaking; she has endometriosis and he has fertility issues as well. She was on fertility drugs but has had to stop as they caused her to grow cysts on her ovaries. They are adopting siblings from the Congo...

    The Tobester

Hey everyone, I find I'm too busy to update on here anymore. I may post the odd picture now and then, but generally speaking I just post to facebook and to reddit's rabbits subreddit. If any of you are interested in keeping in touch with me, send me a PM and I'll give you some contact info...

Thinking about getting rid of the cage/condo... Thoughts?

It's just a half bath connected to my room. I always put the seat down! Tobys just like that too, always getting into places he shouldn't.

Thinking about getting rid of the cage/condo... Thoughts?

Yeah, it's essentially that, but made out of logs. It's enclosed and I'm sure he would feel safe if he retreated into it. It's about the size of his kennel that I use to take him to the vet.

Thinking about getting rid of the cage/condo... Thoughts?

My thinking was that the bathroom would be his safe zone anyways. Like if he was out and about running around, and ran into the bathroom, I would leave him be. Obviously if I need to go to the washroom or whatever I would go in, but I wouldn't disturb him. I have him in there right now as a...

Thinking about getting rid of the cage/condo... Thoughts?

I have an en suite bathroom in my room. Currently Toby resides in a fairly small (2x2 cube) condo. It's basically a cube with 4 panels per side, with a 3 panel second story. He is not in there for a long period of time... He's in there about 7 hours a day. I am thinking of just flattening and...

    Licked beer

When you have a climber and jumper, everything is in reach. I've seen Toby superman jump across a 3 foot gap to get to an off limits area.

    Licked beer

Should be fine. Toby has snuck licks of beer, whiskey, scotch, and lord knows what else. He likes to stick his face into whatever I'm eating or drinking at the time. He's even chomped a burger before... he is impossible I swear. It's like he thinks he's a people. :pullhair: Just keep an eye...

    Second Cut Hay?

Important to note that some rabbits just don't like hay. You may have to look at other fiber/gut motility/tooth maintenance thingies (that's the technical term).

Maria, some rabbits I couldn't sell...

Wendy, in a few years when I'm better settled financially and have a house and stuff, if you're still breeding french lops can I buy one :P I would definitely pay for a flight for one of those giant beauties.

    What works best for litter?

I use Yesterday's News. Tried everything, it's the only thing I like!

    Furby, my Fuzzy French Lop

Ha, he's adorable! I thought Furby was bought from another breeder, not home grown? Nope. I remember now, that was another breeder who actually bred Angoras, so he was supposed to look fuzzy. Anyways, too cute!
