Why don't you send an email to your vet and include the photos you posted here. They can then give you advice on how to care for wounds or inform you if bun needs to be brought in.

When I have gaps in which my bun can squeeze into and I don't want him in there I cut a piece of wire fencing I got at Tractor Supply and bend it to fit in the gap. It keeps him out of the gap. See 2 pics.

Yes, you are very lucky yo have an experienced vet. Many/most aren't and then to be experienced enough to do the surgery. That vet is extra special!

No. Please find someone to house sit and/ or rabbit sit. Rabbits need companionship and someone to monitor how much they are eating/drinking and pooping. The stress of you being gone may increase the risk of GI stasis. Rabbits love routine. Maybe a neighbor, coworker, friend with a teenager...

I understand your frustration. Does he seem in less pain with the Metacam and Mylicon on a scheduled basis? If no, you've got to get him to a vet that sees bunnies ASAP. Any poops? If not, please take him back to the vet that gave him the fluids and rx'd the Metacam. Sounds like he is...

That's ridiculous! Metoclopramide usually comes in a vial and after you draw up the correct dose, you can give it orally (just like the metcam) or even SQ (subcutaneously). It probably doesn't taste very good so I would mix it with the Mylicon or with a little baby food by spoon or by syringe...
