    Thank you very much. :biggrin2:

Will spaying my 5 year old rabbit help with her terrible litter box habits?

I had my rabbit spayed when she was younger, and before, her litter box skills were terrible. It was almost an immediate change after the spay and she has put 95% of her poops in the box since then. It wouldn't hurt to get her spayed, not only because there is a chance of it helping with the...

how do I tell if the dye on a cardboard box is nontoxic?

I have this fun dip box which the candy came in, and I was thinking about cutting little holes in the sides and then filling it with hay and treats. But it is a very colorful box, and I was wondering if it would be safe for Bunny to chew?

    personality change

Thanks for the help. :) She is acting a lot better now. She was hopping all around her cage and begging to be let out, so I did and then she tried following me out the door. :) And then I watched her eat some hay. So I guess she is feeling better. :) Thanks again. :rose:

    personality change

Hi everyone. I joined this forum about three years ago when I got my rabbit, Bunny, but I haven't really been on since then. Well, Bunny is almost three and she was spayed a couple years ago, but starting yesterday, she had a personality change. I let her out of her cage to run around my room...

    hay racks

I need ideas on what to use as a nice big hay rack for Bunny since she is eating more and more hay. My problem is that I can't just put hay in a big bowl because she will use it as a litterbox. :? Is it possible to bend an NIC panel in half? I also need some pics to get ideas. Thanks!

I did get some pain meds for her, but I only have enough to last for today.

    angry rabbit

It's now been about 4 days after Bunny was spayed, and she seems almost back to her old active self, except for one thing...her personality. Before, she would try to race out of the cage whenever I opened the door. Now, she doesn't even bother trying to get out, even if I leave the door open...

    Bunny was spayed!

She will now eat vegetables on her own, but still won't eat the pellets. She is moving around a bit more. I even got some poops from her last night, even though they were a bit deformed. She doesn't really seem to be in pain....just doesn't want me touching anywhere near her stomach.

    Bunny was spayed!

The only thing she will eat right now is basil and some celary. And she won't eat it out of her bowl. She just knocks the bowl over. I have to hand feed it to her and she will eat it happily that way. If she doesn't want something I'm offering her, she pushes my hand away with her nose. :grumpy...

    Bunny was spayed!

No, they didn't give me pain meds and I don't think they would have much for rabbits. But, I don't think she needs them, because she seems to be doing fine now. When I made this topic, she had JUST gotten home and was still looking drowsy and kind of out of it. When I got home today, I saw that...

    Bunny was spayed!

Bunny was spayed today and everything went fine! The vet seemed very knowlageable about rabbits. Right now Bunny is just lounging around her cage. She hasn't eaten anything and I have offered her every yummy thing I could think of. She hasn't had a drink of water either. When should I start...
