    Breeder advice for UTI please

I read several places to never give rabbits Penn G SQ but also read places that said you can.... So I read the side of the bottle and it said IM only. So I don't really want to go against label directions. Basically I guess the deal is suppose to be that you can get it in the blood if you do it...

    Breeder advice for UTI please

Hey guys, I know it's been a while since I've posted. Been a lot happening. Not sure whether to post this in the breeder section or the infirmary, but here goes. :) Here's the situation. I have a litter of rabbits (Mini Lops) that I am supplementing with formula because the mother is refusing...

What breed is right for me?

Course there's also English lops that are good size but more slender body and huge ears. I personally don't care for the long ears but there's no doubt they are a lop. :) And they are working on Cashmere (Wooly fur, med size) and plush lops (rex fur, medium size) now too....

What breed is right for me?

Hey just wanted to throw out a couple ideas. If you love lops and love large rabbits how bout a french lop. They are 10+ pound rabbits and are lops. Most people consider Mini Lops (The American Mini lop also know as the dwarf lop, even though they aren't dwarf and known as a few other breeds)...

    help please would like advice

If it's a genetic problem, which it may not be..... The rabbit would have to get a bad gene from the mother and the father. If you have a rabbit that carries bad teeth and it's always been bred to a rabbit that doesn't carry bad teeth then the babies would always have good teeth although some...

    OMG!! I want one!

Those are definately what is called a Tri color rabbit. They are the black orange tri. The color is really a broken (spotted) Harliquin. I currently have two tri mini lops in my nest boxes right now. They are a very cool color. Basically the e(j) genes causes the black and the orange colors to...

    Need Advice from Experience Breeders

Hey, I agree, take the five week olds away. You will really want to watch the mom because having two litters back to back can take a lot out of her but mini lops are usually pretty tough and she should be fine. As I'm sure you know give her all the pellets and hay she wants and make sure she...

    Bragging about my bunnies :)

Hey guys. I'm so excited. This is the first time this has happened for me. I won first place with two of my broken mini lops today at the ARBA newport show in maine. Then one of those bucks went on to win best in show out of I"m guessing maybe 500 animals. :biggrin2: I almost left that buck...

    What is Rory?

I also have some small 4 and a half pound minis that are full grown. If he doesn't get any bigger I supposse he could be a big holland but doesn't look it to me. Especially cause his ears are to long, long body, wrong shape and mini head.

    What is Rory?

No doubt in my mind that it's a mini with really bad ear control. Has the head and body type. He would be a really big holland and has the wrong body type and head. Mini's tend to be slow developers so expect 5 -6 pounds. They can keep growing, slowly though, till a year old sometimes. They are...
