Bunny proofing without it looking tacky?

Hi! So I recently moved into a brand new townhouse, and I am looking into rabbit proofing it more so my bun can have more free range without my constant supervision. A big thing for me would be protecting my baseboards and possibly the legs of some wooden furniture. I know a lot of the common...

Thank you!! His name is Henrik. Haha! He is so sweet and precious but he’s going to give his momma gray hairs! He likes to make things complicated.

    Moved to New House...Nervous Bunny

hi! I have one adorable Holland Lop, and yesterday morning, we moved into a new duplex together (along with my parrot). Initially, he actually didn’t seem THAT scared... I was somewhat pleasantly surprised. However, this morning (after our first night here) he seems much more skittish and...

The Saga Continues... Rabbit doesn’t like new bag of food (same brand)

Oh, and he normally only gets 1/8th cup a day, but for now, since he is being fussy and wants softer foods, it’s way way more. (I have been making homemade pellet mush/CC to help ensure he’s eating enough/getting hydration).

The Saga Continues... Rabbit doesn’t like new bag of food (same brand)

I avoid giving it to him at all costs but there have been times (such as after surgery) that alfalfa has been the trick to get him to start eating. He will eat some veggies, so I have been soaking them to add additional water to them. Yes... I am well aware of that. Any little change can be...

The Saga Continues... Rabbit doesn’t like new bag of food (same brand)

I have been trying other hays, but his favorite that I have found is small pet selects 1st cutting hay, and then he loves alfalfa (but I really don’t like giving it to him...it becomes hard to get him to eat anything else when he is introduced to alfalfa). I ran out of the SPS hay early Sunday...

The Saga Continues... Rabbit doesn’t like new bag of food (same brand)

hello. I am soooo frustrated this morning. My rabbit is still being extremely fussy after having a dental done this past Wednesday... only picking at hay, but still loves eating pellets, among a couple other things. I realized yesterday afternoon I was getting very low on his bag of oxbow...

PLEASE HELP! Rabbit not drinking/eating well after Molar Spurs

Thank you so much for the words, it did make me feel a bit more at ease. I decided against going to the vet today... I figure it may be helpful to try and keep him home (and not stress him). I’m going to keep doing what I am doing, and hope that soon enough, this hurdle will be a thing of the...

PLEASE HELP! Rabbit not drinking/eating well after Molar Spurs

Guys, I need some help/support/advice, etc. My 1 year old Holland Lop had some molar spurs filed down Wednesday afternoon... I had noticed he wasn’t eating as well. He definitely had abrasions in his mouth. Anyway, long story short, I got him home, and I could get him to eat mushy pellets...

    Potential Dental Problem?

I went ahead and took him in yesterday! My vet said that he definitely had molar spurs in the back of his mouth that had caused some abrasions on the insides of his cheeks. She filed them down and he got to come home last night! I can get him to eat canned pumpkin, hard pellets, some lettuce...

    Potential Dental Problem?

Hi, All! I have a one year old Holland lop, and I think he MAY be having some dental issues. He, by nature is a somewhat picky bun, but in the recent months, I seemed to have found (or thought I found) hay that he really liked. He has really upped his hay eating...but it has decreased again...

Rabbit drinks A LOT of water....

Wow! That is a lot of water! My little guy drinks a lot, but I don’t think he has quite reached that much! I have done some thinking and research, and the only thing that I can see that could attribute to the slightly elevated calcium is the apple cider vinegar that he gets in his water...

Rabbit drinks A LOT of water....

So an update... I went ahead and brought him in to see the vet this morning... I wanted the peace of mind since he hasn’t always drank this much. Blood work and urinalysis came back almost perfect...his calcium levels were slightly elevated, but my vet said that it’s likely nothing to be...

Rabbit drinks A LOT of water....

Hi, all! I have a holland lop...about 3.4 lbs. I have noticed here in the last couple of months his drinking habits. He had a bout of stasis, and when this happened, I drastically cut down his pellets in his diet. He basically had free feed on pellets, and now, he only gets 1/8-1/6 a cup a...

    Slight pain still after surgery?

Hi! My rabbit had hernia surgery one week ago today. He has an amazing appetite, and wants to play. However, yesterday I tried to go 100% without any pain meds..and I feel that he was still kind of sore. So, I went ahead and gave him some more metacam (not a full dose though). I’m worried about...
