pollys not acting normal and didnt eat much

You need to write a food diary and also take note of her behaviour for a few weeks to find a pattern and maybe a cause of the problem. Your vet can also check the diet in detail to help you figure it out x

    spay/neuter care

The advice above is great! I would just make sure your vet is rabbit savvy and reliable and everything should go smoothly. If they are outdoor bunnies it is a good idea to keep them in for a week or so until the vet gives them the all clear to go back out :) x

What to do with a healthy bonded rabbit when his buddy is being put to sleep.

I'm so sorry for your loss :( You can rest easy knowing that Alaska is no longer in pain. It's so sad to loose a beloved pet but you made the right decision and spending lots of time with her partner will help you both in the grieving process. I hope your not too sad. (((Hugs))) xxxx

Suri isn't fond of being grooming so I brush her for as long as I can and the go over gently with a lint roller to remove as much loose hair as I can and this seems to help. You can also get brushes a but like gloves that can be gentler if this helps?

    Aggressive Rabbit

Yeah it's just hormones and natural rabbit behaviour. Your doing everything right by the sounds of things she just likes to have her own space that's all :)

    Why do People do This?!

It doesn't surprise me at all. I think it's human nature to want to nurture a baby animal but when they grow up they go off the idea when responsibility sets in. It happens to humans too. People have babies not realising how much work it all is or what it's like when they grow up but it's not as...

    Aggressive Rabbit

It's definatly hormonal behaviour but rabbits generally don't like being picked up anyway. The breeder I got mine from handled them well from a very early age and socialised them well. I kept it up when I brought them home but they will do anything to avoid being picked up despite no bad...

Outdoor housing - keeping them warm

Thank you all for your quick responses! I really appreciate it :) zaiya if you could either upload the pictures or message me them that would be fantastic. My dad is an electrician and we've discussed putting in a poultry lamp before so it would be an easy thing for me to do and we can base it...

Outdoor housing - keeping them warm

Snuggle safes are microwavable pads so now wires and can last up to 10 hours although mine give off enough heat for about 6 hours. You can buy them from amazon at about £15 each x

Outdoor housing - keeping them warm

Hi everyone! I have two outdoor bunnies at 6 months old and its starting to cool down at night here in the UK. (About 8 degrees at night). I've already put carpet down in the hutch and a cover over the hutch and its stays a about 10 degrees in there but I was looking for information about...

pollys not acting normal and didnt eat much

If the poop was held together by hairs that is most likely the cause the your rabbits gut slowing down. It's prime shedding time ATM and grooming must be increased. My rabbits only have short fur but I have to groom them every other day just to keep the fur at bay! I would recommend keeping and...

    Rabbit ate wrapper!

I would at least call the vet just to see what they have to say. They can do a lot more for her now than if she suddenly deteriorated. It will also put your mind at rest x

What to do with a healthy bonded rabbit when his buddy is being put to sleep.

I think your doing the right thing and only you can know when the one is right. I'm sorry for what your going through :( I would just keep an eye on your other bun and give him lots of comfort so he doesn't feel lonely. If he doesn't chew blankets and cuddly toys I would get her scent on them...

    New from UK

Welcome :D another fellow uk member! She is so sweet! I always wanted a French lop!!! You will need to increase her exercise area as she gets older and make sure she can stand on her hind legs in her hutch but your set up sounds good for now :) I let mine exercise in a 6.5ft run until they were...
