Bun won't foods he used to like after illness. No water either.

The vet said she couldn't get a good look at his back teeth. The only meds he had were the pain killers he finished last week. I've just started giving him Critical care myself. I'm calling the vet again tomorrow.

He's been to the vet. We ARE only giving him hay, pellets veggies and water. He only eats the veggies. His poops are a mess because he refuses to eat hay which he formally loved. he has 3 varieties to choose from too.

Bun won't foods he used to like after illness. No water either.

I'm reposting this here because I haven't gotten many replies where I first posted it: Ok, I'm stumped. My rabbit was ill nearly two weeks ago. He ate a bunch of graham crackers that he shouldn't have and they upset his stomach. We took him to the vet and he was x-rayed, examined and prescribed...

Ok, I'm stumped. My rabbit was ill nearly two weeks ago. He ate a bunch of graham crackers that he shouldn't have and they upset his stomach. We took him to the vet and he was x-rayed, examined and prescribed pain killers. Now he seems almost totally normal except he will not eat his pellets or...

    Alfalfa hay with insects

I think most of the hay I buy is infested with fruit flies. I've been storing it in the freezer until I need it. That seems to take care of the fruit flies. I only buy Oxbow hay.

13 year old rabbit limp hind leg.

He has an appointment with the vet tomorrow afternoon. I picked up my elderly rabbit Cookie to rinse off his belly because he can't groom himself any more. One of his hind legs is totally flaccid and dangles like a dead thing. Argg! :help He seems in good spirits otherwise. I gave him his...

Is something wrong with my bunny?? Help me diagnose

Never, ever believe what the people at the pet store say. They are out to sell you something, not provide excellent care for their merchandise which is just what your little bunny is to them. Hope you can find some good food and care for your cute little rabbit. :anotherbun

    Elderly rabbit, fir matts.

Thanks for the reply. We've already gotten off all we can with the scissors. We had him clipped by the vet the last time he was there. You are correct, he can't groom himself down there anymore. I'm worried about him getting urine scald down there from constantly having the matts soaked with...

    Home Made toy ideas?

Thumbs up for the phone books. Free phone books are easy to come by. my old rabbit loves his old phone books + his baby keys and cheap toy dishes.

    Elderly rabbit, fir matts.

Hi, my 13 year old Rex bun Cookie has matts in a sensitive area. Can anyone recommend some clippers so that I can trim that for him? I think it's making him uncomfortable. I tried cutting it with scissors but that is going to hurt him if I persist. I CAN'T take him to the vet to get it done...
