And I said to not post anymore because some of you kept saying to lock the thread. And being smart has nothing to do with attacking a wild rabbit. A border collie is smart yet it'll get into fights to defend territory. My rabbit is territorial and that's what the fight was about. And in case you...

Seraphina wrote: It's not "that easy". Who would go to the trouble of putting a mosquito net around their yard just to let their dog out to attack a rabbit? By the time they're done with that, my rabbit's back in my yard. And YES my rabbit does watch for cars before crossing the street...

The thing is, my rabbit never sat still enough for me to trim her nails and they did get very long, but since her time outside they've begun to wear down and are not as long and bothersome. And yes, she knows how to cross the street. My rabbit is smart enough to know this concept: she is...

Wow, aren't you guys pessimistic? You know what, just everyone, don't post anymore, and IF Brownie does die, I'll post it here first before the Rainbow Bridge thread.

Feral rabbits live a bad life because they're COMPLETELY on their own. My rabbit isn't. She's still gets food, water, and help with fleas and ticks. She isn't "incredibly skinny" or about to die any minute. And if she can get IN a yard, she can just as easily get OUT. No one would be able to...

First of all, a personality is something that in fact does contradict itself a lot. We're all people here. You should know exactly what I mean. Brownie, yes, is a daredevil, but she's also afraid of strangers and other non-rabbit animals. I never said Brownie was fearless. And I have seen her...

My rabbit wouldn't run under cars. She'd run into someone else's back yard and keep going. Rabbits can run for a 1/2 mile straight. I doubt anyone would go to the trouble of hopping fences and everything for a 1/2 mile to catch her. And she's much too quick to just be chased down. I also...

You said that "Wisconsin is home to some of the most deadly snakes in the country. And the rarest." There are only 2 poisonous snakes in WI and none near at all where we are. They're far west in WI on that map in the site you gave me. And I don't understand how predators will get to her...

I can assure you that there are no snakes in my neighborhood. If there were, I would never go outside, because I, myself, am terrified of them! When it comes to her personality, I believe she's happier out there facing dangers. I know that kind of personality, sort of a masochist, because...

She'll be fine outside, guys. I know you're all worried, but I've thought of all the options, and I know know know you guys think this isn't right, but I also know my rabbit. She's happiest outdoors and has always been the aggressive, fiery, love-adventures type of rabbit. A hutch can't...

Well, honestly I don't know about any laws in Wisconsin concerning pet rabbit welfare. I do know how Wisconsin is quite lenient with owning tigers and whatever other pets you want in some areas, so I'm not sure if they do. She enjoys the yard and more, and that's what I want for her.

About the site, I looked at it, and first of all, my rabbit's fur is brown. That does not stand out, like white or black and white. Domestic rabbits and wild rabbits can't have babies, so that's not a problem. And there are no other domesticated rabbits in our neighborhood, or I would've seen...
