    Crust around nipples?

I don’t really know since to be honest I did not check the nipples until now. One of them had slightly less crust with yellow that looked exactly like old milk would look like if left to dry. I am sure the vet would have told me if something was up after he shaved her bits but if he didn’t I...

    Crust around nipples?

Thanks for the info. Luckily all it was is dried milk from one of her false pregnancies. I don’t usually check her nipples for any infections or anything so I was surprised when I saw this.

    Crust around nipples?

In case it is mange, wouldn’t my other bunny get infected? They are together 24/7 and I don’t see them itching that often. Upon googling abit more, it may be discharge from the nipples or something called Mammary carcinoma. Either way, all suggestions sound horrifying..I don’t have access to my...

    Crust around nipples?

Hi, I checked the nails and I don’t see any crusting, I checked both my rabbits. Upon further investigation, my female rabbit has swollen nipples and I found one irregular sized nipple with different crusting and not all of them have this round crust. Some have a little bit

    Crust around nipples?

Hi, today I felt a bump and this is what I assume to be one of her nipples. Its coated with crust and I sent the vet pictures to determine the next course of action. I found at least 2 more nipples crusting. Anyone has any idea what this is? She was spayed almost 2 months ago

losing my mind over rabbits scratching

The scratching seems to have reduced. I checked the feet and they are all fine and clear. One of the rabbits has some small flakes on the back of the ear and inside looks to be a bit dry. I saw nothing move, and there's no chunks of flakes anywhere. I suspected mange before as I myself have a...

losing my mind over rabbits scratching

Hello, so last week I went ahead and spayed my bun, she's all good and surgery went fine. 2 days ago I started noticing both my buns scratching and grooming themselves alot, most notably their cheeks, feet, and neck, I spend an hour a day trying to see what is the culprit and since one of them...

Sounds good! Best of luck with your buns I'm sure they will feel so much better without those nasty mites on them

Bunny has these specks on his fur

that really sucks :( 6 hours is horrible but at least its easy to be rid of. Going to be freezing hay for 72 hours prior to giving it to the bunny from now on

Bunny has these specks on his fur

I’ll be going to the vet in the coming days if you’re first to go let me know what he says as well. That’s very unfortunate your bun has mites too :(

Bunny has these specks on his fur

I doubt it's because of shedding. The only conclusion I got to was he went to pee on hay, hay had mites and now they are all over him. Your bunny could maybe just have hay fluff stuck to his fur. If you have a brush like the hairbuster brush him and see what comes out with the fur, thats how I...

Bunny has these specks on his fur

I think the bald patch was due to shedding, unrelated, as if they were the usual dandruff mites there'd be flaking and stuff. Try and pick one up and observe closely if they move. I will be going to a new vet to have him under a microscope to confirm and then go from there

Bunny has these specks on his fur

my buns look that color as well. They look like a red/brown on his white fur, they don't seem to be moving on his fur except when I picked one up they were. It seems highly likely that these are hay mites
