I notided that a lot of the bunny owners here only put bedding or litter in the toilet area/litter tray then have the rest of the cage area clean (with some softy stuff for cuddles/sleeping too). Is this feasable for outdoor bunnies too, or do they need the extra insulation? Thanks :) KC

Apricot; approx 12 weeks, sold as a "lapin nain" (dwarf rabbit). Currently about 12oz. Mystery; approx 12 weeks old, sold as a "lapin bélier" (lop eared rabbit). Currently about 1lb. Both have very interesting colouring. Apricot's hair appears to be gray underneath; or at the base...

The smaller with the erect ears is Apricot. The larger with the lop ears hasn't told me her name yet :)

:D I just picked up two girls (I hope!) from the store, and they arehappily munching hay in their new home. Now my millions of questions start... I bought the same brand of hay and pellets they were being fed at the store. How long till I can start introducing new food, or let them nibble...

Because they wouldn't let me buy the buns that I wanted! I had been staring at the buns for about half an hour trying to decide which ones I wanted, then I went to find an assisstant. The lady was very, very nice. She told me that they were 8 weeks old, and she knew which ones were male...

Hi, I'm in the Alsace, France. Although baby rabbits are very cute, I'll probably be looking for "junior" rabbits rather than baby ones - though it does depend on the pet store (no breeders - for pets that is!) in my area. Of course i will ask the pet store how old their bunnies are. Oh...

I'm not a bun mum yet, but would like to get a pair of dwarf females for outdoor living. ObviouslyI would get my buns spayed, but would like an idea of the general price of the spay + anaesthetic. Also, at what age is best to spay? Thanks :) KC
