    Mice & Rabbits - Disease

One thing i can say is I've been surprisingly diligent with hygiene with those guys. I've even been so careful as to thoroughly wash my hands before even touching the bedding when replacing it. Ah yes ive heard of Hantavirus .Did not know it could be contracted through the air. Is there anyway...

    Mice & Rabbits - Disease

I was wondering if mice could somehow transmit disease to my rabbits just by being in the same room? They're some kind of wild mouse but I hand raised them from babies. Obviously risk of disease is still there. They're in the garage for now, but would it be too dangerous to keep them in a cage...

    Rabbit Feed Changes

I'll probably just get the same feed again this time. They are extremely low and Manna Pro had a coupon haha. I'll get em next time

    Rabbit Feed Changes

I know that abrupt feed changes can cause diarrhea in rabbits. However, what is meant by abrupt feed changes? If they were to be on one rabbit feed but then be switched to another that they've been on before, will it cause the same effects? I don't think there's much of a difference between...

    Aggressive/Unfriendly Rabbits

Thank you! The timid one is inside right now, she ended up having a litter shortly after my first one haha. Should help with "gentling"

    Aggressive/Unfriendly Rabbits

Yes I realize that they can and they will kill each other. I keep them together because they are officially a bonded pair and have not fought since that one scuffle. They can have arguments just like people and be fine after.

Just got a new bunny! Super nervous...

He could not like a specific one if it's too stemmy and thick. Some rabbits prefer a "softer" or greener grass. I fed mine Bermuda once because it was all I had from the horse and they were not fans because it was stemmy and colourless

Which one is he not eating? Mixing it might work, although honestly I just buy the bales in either Alfalfa/Orchard mixes or Timothy/Orchard mixes

    Fibonacci Sequence and Rabbits

Yes I believe that's how it went. He proposed a puzzle of some sort wondering how many rabbits there would be at the end of the year within certain perimeters.

    New bunnies !

Pics might help to an extent, no guarantees. If their paws/bums are dirty you can usually just clean em up with a baby wipe. And the yellow-stained hair on their paws will actually shed out to the white within time if they quit stepping on litter so I wouldn't worry too much.

    Fibonacci Sequence and Rabbits

Probably a shot in the dark, but anyone know how the Fibonacci sequence is related to rabbits? I know it's how it was first discovered with rabbits being bred in "ideal" conditions, but can anyone go more in-depth about it? How does it all tie in together with other interesting Fibonacci facts? TIA!

Just got a new bunny! Super nervous...

I just bought a bale of Timothy hay from my local horse supply person. I just keep it in the garage on top of the freezer chest for now. I typically take a flake or two and keep it somewhere in my "rabbit room" in a horse feed bag just so I don't have to go into the garage everytime I want to...

    Chances of a maned baby?

That's what I figured. A little disappointing but I'm sure they'll still be cute. Thank you

I just use one of those long and low Tupperware boxes. It's perfectly sized for my rabbit and there's no problem jumping in and out

I would just clean it up and make sure to get rid of the scent (you can't smell it but he can). If he continues to pee in other corners put litter boxes there too. Eventually he'll pick a "favorite" one and you can one by one remove any others
