Bunny Castle by Bunny Bliss - new toy

We also have a dig box which is just a plastic Rubbermaid bin filled with shredded paper . We then throw some pellets into the bin when the rabbit is getting rambunctious and then he goes digging in the bin. Keeps him occupied for 10-20 minutes depending on how many pellets we put in. By the end...

    Grips for a slippery surface

Can you upload it to an external website like Google Photos or WeTransfer and then we can have a look? You can also try using the Snipping Tool and save the screenshot, usually it's a smaller file size.

How much square feet should 1/2 rabbits have?

Those guidelines above say "at least" 3x4 (aka 12 square feet) but I would have thought at least 24 feet at a minimum for one rabbit. Obviously the more space the better; would say that if you're at home (as most of us are right now during the pandemic), if you can let the bunny roam around...

    Rabbit Not Eating

I'm glad to hear there are no cause for concern. It's always good to monitor the rabbit's poops for any abnormalities. And, stomach cramps and production of gas can cause the rabbit not to eat as much, even if the rest of their activities (besides eating and pooping) are seemingly normal. I...

    Grips for a slippery surface

I like the idea of memory foam mat. The foam gives the rabbit the kind of traction they really appreciate. As you suggest, it may not be the most durable but at least it's quite easy to replace as needed.

    Bunny sleeping like crazy!

They look very peaceful and probably need to sleep more while they're still growing so rapidly. If they don't exhibit other curious symptoms, you're probably in good shape. As an aside, it's always good to know the nearest rabbit veterinary specialists (i.e. REALLY go see someone that knows...

    Bedding PSA

We use a combination of shavings (on top) and paper litter (below). The shavings seem more amenable to the rabbit, though they’re not very absorbent, which is why we use brown paper underneath. We get all our stuff from Small Pets Select. We also like the pine pellets, stopped using them...

Bunny Castle by Bunny Bliss - new toy

Hi all, a friend recently told me about this Bunny Castle (Bunny Bliss: top-quality bunny toys by bunny parents) by Bunny Bliss which has gotten some fanfare on Facebook. I'm sympathetic to people trying to start a small business in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis, so wanted to show these guys...

    Help! Rabbit Chewing Cords !

We also use braided sleeving to "bunny proof" the cords. We've also tried sour apple spray, which serves as a deterrent for a while, but I do not find it all that effective especially over the longer term as the scent/taste dry out.

Do I introduce a new companion?

Need to give it at least a few weeks before attempting to bond them! Sometimes they'll be happier with more autonomy; sometimes not; but you have to just observe your rabbit. Just like humans, they grieve differently and you have to be especially observant during this trying time. I hope...

    Grips for a slippery surface

I second the suggestion to layer it with a towel, or a fabric similar to what they use for a bath mat. Fleece is good but can be slick as well since the fabric is often quite light due to its synthetic nature.

How To Make Sure A Pet Sitter Knows What To Do

We put together a simple PowerPoint deck (4-5 slides) detailing what the pet-sitter should do and where to find the materials. I also put together video clips so that the pet-sitter (typically a relative or friend) could follow those exact instructions, if they preferred video to slides. I...

    Best Bunny Toys?

Have you considered the Bunny Castle by Bunny Bliss? It's a new toy that I learned about from Reddit and Kickstartr (Bunny Bliss: top-quality bunny toys by bunny parents). A friend recommended the toy so we just pledged to buy two of them. If the Bunny Castle is as durable and as attractively...

In a predicament: Can I leave my bunny home for three days?

When we travel for more than a day, we make sure someone can come check on the rabbit once a day. Optimally we have one friend come in the morning and another time at night, both times to do feeding and then changing the litter at night. I am glad you found someone caring to look after your...

    Do you brush your rabbits??

We brush our rabbit at least once a week, often twice. He sheds a fair bit, nothing uncontrollable, but rather it be stuck to the glove than all over the floor. We use a product called the Magic Coat glove, it works really well.
