    Blood in urine

hello everyone. Any advice/experiences yall may have with this that y’all can give would be greatly appreciated. I have 2.5 year old unspayed female rabbit. Yes I plan to have her spayed but I have not yet. She is acting completely normal, eating, playing, drinking, pooping. But I noticed blood...

    Spay death, advice please

Thank you RavenousDragon! I'm definitely going to make sure we get blood work done. I might even get blood work done at another vet to get a second opinion and make sure everything is safe. It may seem extreme but it's my little baby and I can't imagine just setting her up for something without...

    Spay death, advice please

Thank you so much for all of the information. I can't imagine going through all of that and then almost going through it again. It's so scary with these fragile little guys. I guess it's more common than I realize. It's interesting that you mention being intubated because I kept thinking "I...

    Spay death, advice please

Hi all I need some advice from some other bunny owners on what y'all would do in this situation... I adopted 2 female rabbits (sisters) when they were about 2 months old. At 6 months old (a little shy of 6 months) I took them to get spayed, and one of them did make it through the surgery...

    Echinacea dose for Runny nose

Thank you When I did the culture I just swabbed the discharge on the outside, since I don't have experience with that I was scared to hurt her. That's why I wanted the vet to do one also, and she went into the nostril and also had her sneeze a few times on the swab. I'm thinking it may be...

    Echinacea dose for Runny nose

Thank you for responding missyscove! They are indoor. They have a large 6x6 playpen that connects to a playhouse. When I am home they roam the house. I change their litter box once a day and I use aspen wood shavings. They eat Timothy hay unlimited and get a small amount of pellets in the...

    Echinacea dose for Runny nose

Hi all, I have two 5 month old girls that have been battling a runny nose. When I first noticed it I took them straight to the vet. She gave them 14 days of Baytril(twice a day) along with a probiotic twice a day. We went back to the vet for a follow up on day 14 and nothing had changed. She...

    Runny nose

Thank you! I will give these links a look. A plan to take them to the vet first thing on Monday. I'm a microbiologist and will culture it when I return to work if the vet doesn't. Thank you for your advice!

    Runny nose

Thank you for your response! I was just able to get a better look at her nose while she was sitting still drinking from her bottle and I could sort of see up her nose a little on a piece of white fur and it was definitely yellow. Im devastated right now, as I try to take such good care of them...

    Runny nose

EDIT: it does look a little crusty. It looks like it dried up and didn't go away as water probably would:

    Runny nose

It's hard to tell the color because they are both brown. It doesn't really look green/yelllw/crusty. Just wet. Their eyes seem to look fine too. I tried to dry them and hold them to get a better look at it but they won't sit still long enough. :( I haven't noticed the wetness until today.

    Runny nose

Hi all, I have two 4 month old bunnies. Today after they ate their greens one of them sneezed about 10 times in a row and twisted her head a couple times while she was jumping around. I immediately went to google to see what that it could mean. After that one time she hasn't done it again so...

    Separating bonded babies

I agree! I'd love to get it done as soon as I can. I'm having such a hard time with caging them. I feel absolutely terrible about it. Thanks for the info! I will try to find a vet that can spay sooner!

    Separating bonded babies

Thank you so much for the response! The vet told me they were both girls so I went off of what he said! I am going to start separating them tonight. I had to get a cage first. A couple vets told me I had to wait 6-8 months before spaying. Do you know if they can be spayed earlier?

    Separating bonded babies

Hi all, I have two 3.5 month old girl babies that I plan on getting spayed when they are a little older. I've kept them together up to this point because they are bonded and absolutely love each other, but was recently told I should separate them when they are not supervised due to possible...
