    Sneezing (thymoma found as cause)

So it's been a while....I'm still shocked by what happened, but that's not the point. The autopsy didn't reveal anything since they've sent it to a place where they only do "viral" examination of the body. The person who performed the autopsy said that she saw some kind of stuff around the lungs...

My other Bunny's right ear infected?

Yes, they mentioned that, however that was not an option, since there were no doc who could do the anesthesia. I was pushing them to do an xray without anesthesia, like I will hold the rabbit, or just try it at least once we might be able to do it without anesthesia. However they told that its...

My other Bunny's right ear infected?

So visited the vet: The ear is definetley bigger and warmer, however otoscope examination was flawless, everything is okay inside. The vet took a sample of the inside wax: no parasites or any that kind of stuff. Meloxy 2x1ml until Monday. Well....

My other Bunny's right ear infected?

    Neuter bunny??

I would say yes. Probably the behaviour will change since it is the hormons (among other things) that play a role in what they do. However I was told that male ones are probably much "nicer" even when neutered. Unless you want to him to be a father at some point I see no reason not to do it.

My other Bunny's right ear infected?

Hello, My bunny's right ear seems to be "down" all day. Whenever I lift it up, it "falls" back down. He was always like this (despite being a "standing ear" bunny) that placing her ears "downwards/all over the place" but I suspect something might be wrong. I smelled inside: nothing. No bruises...

    Stopping biting

Yeah, but what are they reasoning/argument? "no" because? It would be much easier to accept a "no" if one explains how he/she came to that conclusion. Keeping a small animal should be with looking at "what's best for the animal". (Let's put aside "not keeping them as pets would be the best...

    Stopping biting

This post of mine might go againts your "no go solutions". I'm really sorry but I can't seem to have a better answer: "no spaying" - If you don't neuter the bunny she will probably die because of uterine cancer when she is older. It is quite common in female Rabbits that are not neutered and...

My bunny died after 1 week of her operation

I'm so sorry for your loss :(. Have you brought her to the vet? Maybe you could have asked for autopsy. Neuter complications can happen unforunatley. (From what I know it's not that common though, and most of the deaths occur due to a complication from the anesthesia and not the actual operation)

    Chocolate

I would say that if he is a helthy bunny with a proper diet (hay, water and nothing else like fruits) then he "should" be okay. I would just call the local vet and ask them about it. It's not that easy to actually poison Rabbits however due to some "hidden" problems a Rabbit can have (that you...

How to help rabbit cope with other's loss

...And it happened. He is alone now. I'm with him every minute. Yesterday when She passed I don't think he realized it since when we came back from the vet he flopped like 3 times. But I think it is today that he realized that she is gone.

    Sneezing (thymoma found as cause)

I'm thinking about requesting an autopsy. This last week was really strange: -Either the thymoma grew so much that she could no longer breath properly (however last week monday we were at the vet and she told us that her breath is about the same as 2 months ago) -The steroid affected her liver...

    Sneezing (thymoma found as cause)

Thank you for your kind words. So we took her to the emergency vet, and she passed away in the car on the road. They were able to bring her back to life for a brief moment but that was about it. Her stomach was really gassy and also her breathing was really bad. If you want I can share some...
