My bunny broke a leg and needs to stay in the cage with limited movement. He is free roaming and hates it there. Chews on the metal wires at night. I'm afraid he will brake his teeth. He is 8 y.o. Any ideas to help him to break this habit?

Update: He is doing great. Back to normal. He was on antibiotics since they did find his t-cells count indicated infection. Thank you for the responses. P.s. foam was clear/ whitish.

Yes, it looks the same but it's not on the sole. It's on the bend of leg and foot. How do you keep ointment on while the bun is moving around and prevent him from licking it off? Tried to put a wrap on, he manages to take it off.o_O
