    Baby bunny hurt its leg

Ok so I totally panic posted. I think the baby was just scared because its walking around on both its feet now. Its been laying down in the nest so I think it still hurts a bit, but we should be okay

    Baby bunny hurt its leg

One of my baby bunnies got its leg caught in a wired floor. It was screaming, and when I went out to look it was twisting and circling around and it seemed like it was in a lot of pain. I brought the babies in, and the leg doesn't flop like its broken but the bunny also doesn't put any pressure...

    Heating options

Would an actual electric heater be necessary? I think the worst it will get is -6°C, so would some tarps and bedding work? I've never kept the bunnies outside during the cold months so Im not sure what would keep them comfortable. And when the snow comes, is there anything I should keep in mind...

    Heating options

It doesn't really get too cold here, I think the lowest it'll get is 20°F (-6°C) and that's only during the peak of winter. I've got my bunnies sectioned off into three areas, and two of those areas have a kind of makeshift shed that's not fully enclosed. What kind of insulation would you recommend?

    Heating options

Are there any non-electrical heating options? We have a few bunnies that live outdoors (safely, with lil houses) and I was wondering how I could easily keep them warm. A while ago we saw a post here with a heater that kind of looked like a water bottle, but it didn't plug into anything and it...

    Bunny nesting multiple times

My bunny just gave birth earlier today, and she's pulling fur and nesting again. She's putting it all into the nest box and I'm worried she'll put too much fluff on top of the babies and they wont be able to nurse. With the last litter she nested every night for four days after giving birth, and...

    Baby bunnies dying

Oh, and one last thing. I just remembered it, but there was a rat attack about a month and a half ago. Could that have done anything? I don't know much about rat diseases and how fast they would kill a rabbit.

    Baby bunnies dying

Alright, thanks again. I'll do what I can to give them a better diet and check everyone for anything wrong.

    Baby bunnies dying

If this is the cause, how would I go about weaning them properly? I've been leaving them be and letting them wean themselves at their own pace, and they usually start eating pellets first. (As opposed to grass because they're usually inside until they're big enough) They've eaten kale and a few...

    Baby bunnies dying

No, this is a different litter and mama. I try to keep my distance from them because I don't want to scare them too much, so I might not have noticed everything. A few days ago I did notice a bit of inactivity compared to his siblings but I didn't really think too much of it. In a couple of the...

    Baby bunnies dying

My area doesn't get too hot. Our hot days just started, so our hottest temp so far has been about 85 Fahrenheit. They do have a lot of fur (half lionhead) but so does their dad and he's been fine.

    Baby bunnies dying

What can cause a sudden death? There were seven bunnies and now we're down to three, and I have no idea why. There's no warning, no marks or injuries. I dont think its too hot, and theres nothing that should scare them to death (unless picking them up can?) They're about 7 weeks old and its...

    Mama bunny aggressive towards babies

My bunny just had a litter of babies about 9 days ago. When she went to feed them today she would flinch and leave the nest box when the kits touched her. After sniffing them for a minute she would hop back in to nurse, repeating this process a few times. This isn't too bad, but most times she...
