I don’t know what happened, I have 2 bunnies and I have them celebrated my girl bunny is getting fixed this week, well my boy pumpkin got through the gate and went to go jump her so my husband ran into the room to grab him and when he did pumpkin freaked out and scratched my husband and jumped out of his arms, well I screamed because he jumped pretty high up my husband is (5 ft 9inch) and so I ran to comfort pumpkin and saw he was bleeding, I looked closer and it’s under his paw it’s his nail.

he stopped bleeding after about 30 seconds, he is chasing his sister now walking and running on it but will stop and hold it. He also went into a loaf position like he was in pain after it happened.

It will probably be a little sore for a day or two. As long as it's just the nail and not a broken toe, and he continues to eat normally and puts weight on the foot, it's usually not a big deal and the nail just grows back.

But if it broke below the nail bed, it's important to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't develop an infection. And also make sure he is putting weight on the foot normally. If he isn't and is showing signs of keeping weight off the foot, it will probably need a vet check to make sure nothing is broken.

Okay he is eating, he seems to be whimpering a little off and on though.
