Are the Sweet Bamboo Chew Sticks on Amazon safe?, I seem to be finding mixed reviews and opinions. My rabbits are trying to chew my baseboard, and corner of the walls. Yet had no interest in apple sticks, I need advice and places. To look for some chews, to try out for them, to see is they like it, Aurora and Luna say thank you.

I needed to add a few dollars to my Amazon order to qualify for free shipping so I bought the Delemi Natural Timothy Hay Sticks and Cadbury LOVED them. I offer one every few days and he always grabs it from my hand, runs into his crate, and eats it right away. I think it was about $8 for a 20 piece container. Since he only gets 2 or so a week, a container lasts at least a month. So now every time I place an order on Amazon I add a container to my cart. But he's not a spoiled bunny or anything. :)

I wouldn’t recommend anything made of bamboo for rabbits. True bamboo is toxic to most species. More specifically, it naturally contains small amounts of cyanide that rabbits were never meant to handle. Processing it can remove the toxins, but that depends on how it is processed and I don’t know if something like bamboo chew sticks would be totally safe. I’m an extremely, sometimes absurdly, cautious person, so don’t take my word for it. I’m just saying, bamboo is a fantastic material for many things and an absolutely lovely plant, but not necessarily something I would use for rabbits in any way since you have to be okay with them ingesting most of what you use around them.

Oxbow has a nice selection of items. Yes, my rabbit’s a spoiled boy😅

Lucky bamboo, which not actually bamboo, is also considered, but I don’t specifically recall why😅

Pupertin,
Amazon sells palm leaf bowls. They are pet safe and small animals love to eat them. It sounds like my bunnies are eating potato chips. Super cute!

I didn't know that was a thing, definitely gonna get a pack of that. Do you have any other interesting stuff for chew thinggie?

I use willow balls & baskets from Binky Bunny, though they no longer carry the large baskets due to shipping costs.

I also have a couple Ikea Hols set up as playhouses that they can chomp -- I fill them with newspaper for more chomping fun.

And there's always something cardboard around, whether a plain box or something like a Cottontail Cottage.

My rabbits have never cared for chewing small things. They prefer something big & stationary they can really go to town on.
