It was worth trying. Keep in mind that there are other causes for runny eyes in rabbits, unrelated to respiratory issues.

The other eye got runny before the nebulizer session.
Shall we continue doing the nebuilzer sessions? Is it normal that she sneezes after the sessions? (On one site I read it that it is)

It could be. If you notice it helping at all, I would continue with them.
Also, do you think it is effiecent the way we use it? not creating a chamber, but pointing the cannon 7-10cm from her nose directly, and using it for 10-15 mins.

I still feel a bit uneasy about this sneezing. Also about the runny eye.

On the other hand now that 3 vets (which was 4 visits) saw the runny eye all of them said:
"Well, khm, its a....a its rather a tiny runny eye no probs there".....

I will keep the nebulizing sessions for days (once per day 10 mins) and see how it goes, but I doubt that this sneezing is "nothing, dont pay attention to it" stuff.

Or maybe im overreacting? It's so hard to decide......

(I'm sorry, its just that its really driving me nuts)

As long as she's holding still and letting you hold it near her nose, I would think it would work just as well as a nebulizing chamber.

It's hard to know if there's something more going on than a simple runny eye, but you're in the best postition to determine that, as you know your rabbit and can actually see what's happening with her.

Yeah, that's why I took her to the vet, and "it's okay, no probs there etc..."
When I asked about xray and maybe to take a sample from her nose: no, that wouldn't reveal much.

Ask the vets to look at his teeth. My lop eared rabbit Benji had sneezing and runny nose for ages and the vets was really dismissive of it even though we went quite a few times. Went for his yearly check up and a new vet pointed out problems with his teeth. They’re digging into his gum so after X-rays referred us to a specialist rabbit vet. Benji has extensive teeth problems and that’s why his breathing, runny nose and sneezing was so bad. Ask them to look at his teeth and If in doubt say you want to be referred to a specialist small animal vet. It might not be but see about it

They did look at their teeth with a little device (maginifier like thingy, that they insert into the mouth). That check was okay.
When I asked about the x ray for head/face, they were hesitant, not much can be concluded from that.

And what was then for Benji? Did they do anything about the teeth?

They basically sent him to a vet that specialises in rabbit. This has been going on pre -COVID and is only just being resolved so that is why we’re in the situation we’re in at the moment. I’m NOT scaring you. He’s got to have all his teeth out which is what the expert vet has said. My vet did X-rays and his teeth are beyond repair so they referred him there. This has been going on for years btw. I suggest if your really concerned you should take him to a vet that knows more about rabbits. Tell your vets that’s what you want to do. I’m not scaring you.

Ah that's bad :( Does your bunny had any eating problems as well? Like decreased apetite?

He did especially hay. Please don’t worry too much she has this. Just tell your vet your concerns and insists they refer you to a small animal expert if you want too. We found Benji’s teeth were so bad through X-rays. I’m/ not a vet or vet nurse or have any training and this is purely my experience. I’m not claiming to know about dental/respiratory problems in rabbits. It might be a different cause completely like allergies or whatever

My nine week old Dutch has snuffles (sneezing) cold type and have been advised to use Bunnymycin in her nose. Joe

It seemed that the nebulizing with saline helped in the first 2-3 days but in the end it was just "placebo" or got lucky since 4th day she had like 30-40 sneezes, and then around 5 - 10.
I will try to call the vet but I bet it will be another 2,5 week to get in.

-Both eyes runny
-Decreased appetite
-Sneezing
-No nose discharge

So finally took her to the vet:
-Cancer due to pastourella infection
-Heart disease

I will have ultrasound next thursday to rule out the heart disease.

So yeah, other vet was completley "false" about no probs etc.
This vet when I showed the video about the Bunny dodging her head she immediatley said that its abnormal. Also she is stomach breathing constanly.
X-ray reveald that her respiatory tract is pushed upwards by something that shouldn't be there. Either heart is "bigger" or cancer.

I'm so sad now.

I'm so sorry, but I'm glad you were able to find a vet that could properly assess your rabbits condition. That makes it possible to at least get your rabbit on the right medication to at least ease some of the symptoms.

Also I want to point out that (if someone is reading this due to Bunny having similar symptoms):
-Stetoscope examination was flawless, so based on that the Bunny showed no signs of breathing problems/infection, so please don't rely solely on this type of examination. X ray revealed the problem.
