I left for 2 days to go on a short vacation with my family and friends, leaving my aunt to watch over the house and care for the animals.

When I come back Pickle just seemed scared and wouldn’t greet me like normal.

I’m wondering if Pickle forgot me? Or maybe he’s just mad I left.

Forgot to mention that he is way over weight now, even though the instructions I gave said 1/4 cup a day

first two are after last two are before

Is he showing any signs of eating less than normal, changes in poop, any signs of pain(eg. tooth grinding, belly pressing, sitting hunched, lethargic, lack of appetite, etc)?

Only thing i’ve noticed was he wasn’t pooping as much as normal, everything else he was doing fine. Even after a little while he eventually came out of him cage and did his usual exploring.

I think the main issue was me being a big worry wart lol.

Two days won't cause a rabbit to become overweight, except though a possible health issue. If his belly looks bigger than normal, he could have some gas from stomach upset, due to the stress of you being gone. This stress from a rabbits usual caretaker being gone, can cause the rabbit to get an upset stomach, which can cause gas and pain, slowed digestion and less eating, and eventually could cause GI stasis. This also explains not pooping as much as normal.

Thanks for the help! I’m sure this was most likely the issue he was having, he seems more like himself today then he did when I first got home yesterday.
