At 6 months, bun is definitely old enough to be slowly introduced to greens. The following link to a page on my website explains how to go about the process of introducing, and has a starter list of what greens are safe for daily use and which should be limited.

The idea is to start slowly and with only one type at a time. The link explains in more detail:

Can they start on greens at 6 weeks?

At 6 weeks they generally should still be with their momma and possibly still nursing. Unless momma has been regularly fed greens along with the kits, then a rabbit should not get greens that young. Momma eating greens will pass on the necessary enzymes to allow the babies to safely eat greens. So those babies with a momma who's been eating greens can safely be fed greens.

If one does not know whether momma had greens (or know that she did not get greens) then the general consensus is to wait until at least 12 weeks of age.

Thank you odyssey and Blue Eyes! I am really not sure how old my bunny is.... took over ownership as bunny fractured his leg and previous owner was not going to do anything. The vet said the injury is older than 5 weeks but I thought he was 5 weeks old.

Knowing the age of your rabbit will be most useful to you for knowing what to feed, etc. If you can post a current photo (with something in photo to show size perspective) then experienced members may be able to approximate age if it is still weeks young. I'd suggest starting a new thread to post the photo and ask about age.
