Hi, I plan on getting a bunny, and when I do, I intend on having him neutered. I a in the bay area, and was wondering if anyone knew a vet that would do it for less than $200.

Think is the breeder breeds for pets or feeders, they are kept outside in a wired bottomed age etc :(. They have too much, and let me take one for free (rescue)

IMO not really a rescue per say. I wouldnt do it. They wont be cuddly like you think they will be. They most likely arent hadlded, which most of them have bad temperments. When I was un reaseared we saw a sign on the road saying "bunnies for sale" They had new babies, outside, on wire bottom cages. They were all scared of me even just moving around the cages. They all tried to bite me. I didnt end up going there, I end up getting a sweet bunny from a rescue

IMO I reccomend getting a baby bunny from a rescue, one that is born into the rescue. The baby bunny will be handled a ton, and by a ton of different people. This will make a cuddly bunny. The first 3 weeks of a bunnies life is super important for temperment.

I understand, but I'm fine with working with the bunny. I had worked with feeder rats for 4 years.

The person DOES socialize them. Ive visited them, and there was this tiny bunny that loved to be pet. I really want him once he/she is old enough
 
It would be cheaper in the end to get a rescue rabbit if you dont want to pay 200 for a neuter
 
its just that the breeder needs to get rid of them ASAP (or else they will be sold for meat). I think ill take a look, and if they are really terrified and not friendly, ill go to a shelter.
 
Heres the thing, thats a marketing stragagy. Ive seen many ads on craigslist, facebook, and hoobly use the same formula. It pulls at the heart strings
