HELP! Litter-training advice needed

Hi all! My 8 week old mini-lop Milo has been welcomed to our home.
He’s been here for a couple of days now and I’m not quite sure if I’m making progress with litter training. My tactic so far has been to put his poo in his litter tray hoping that he would then know that thats where it poops. It hasn’t been working out and i was just wondering how long it took for your rabbit to litter train and if you have any advice!

And just fyi, a rabbit is considered litter trained when it consistently pees in the litter box. Poop is a whole other matter. They use their poop to mark their territory, and this will especially happen for several weeks when a rabbit is in a new home or new area. It will also happen a lot more with baby rabbits, male rabbits, and unneutered rabbits. You may luck out and your bunny will start leaving most poops in the litter box once he's settled into his new home, or you may have to keep sweeping them up until he is old enough to neuter, then hope the neuter does the trick. Which often it does help, but not always. Depends on the rabbit.

It took Oreo awhile we got him fixed not to long ago and that helps allot also for a male here is 85.00 they also clipped there nails and u can pick them up the same day we got to

It will also help to remove any loose bedding from the area (like the carefresh in his cage) and having a large enough litterbox that he can comfortably turn around in - preferably not a corner litterbox. having lots of hay in the litter area as well will also help as rabbits seem to like to poop where they eat
