Is it safe to allow Apollo to jump on my bed?

I’m redoing my room and doing from a loft bed to a normal mid-low bed. Currently my mattress is on the floor while I sell my old bed and Apollo is having a lot of fun jumping up and laying down with me. I tried looking through the other posts and most people are trying to get the buns off the bed, because they pee on it and stuff. He’s litter trained and has stopped peeing on my things (finally) so I don’t think it should be a problem?

Thank you! Honestly, my parents would hate it, but I don’t mind lol. I think he’ll be allowed on it whenever my parents aren’t in the room 🙈

One of my favorite moments in my life was years ago when I had the sweetest little helicopter eared bun named Soda. I was renting a room and the mattress was on the floor. And she would hop right up on me laying on my bed, and try and share my fruit popsicles with me. Of course she always managed to get a little chomp of it before I could stop her :p

That’s so sweet! The bun buns always manage to get a bit of the human food before we can stop them (Apollo tried tirelessly to eat some of my crisps earlier 😂).

it okay to allow him on the bed - when I get a proper one - unsupervised? I’m thinking that if he falls off one side, he should be able to hop his way out from under it? It might have plastic storage totes underneath so I’d probably just pull one out from the bed so that if he does fall, he has enough space.

Every time I come home “late” (which gets earlier and earlier by their standards, currently 10.30pm) my buns are waiting at the end of my bed for me.

I have rugs on all sides in case they jump straight down, but I also put some mats on my bedside tables to help them get up and down that way. They stop there for a snuggle sometimes

For a while, they would hop onto my bed every night at midnight and lay at the end of my bed all night. I would wake up to see the silhouette of 2 pairs of bunny ears, it was the cutest thing. None of us slept great though haha.

I only had 2 peeing incidents - one when we had just moved house and the other a few weeks ago when I was fostering a 4th bun and the whole household was quite stressed. Other than that, they love digging and chewing at my bedding, but no biggie ☺ I love perforated pillow cases haha

I let Xiao Wu onto my bed after many failed attempts to stop her. Now she's my personal alarm clock.😂 She stopped peeing on my side of the bed after letting her up there. Now she comes up, lets us know what time it is, then Zoomy on my side while I do the morning routine. I don't really see an issue with letting them on the bed. Plus I bet he enjoys access to you at night.

Ah thank you! Hahah honestly I really like him on the bed and he’s not peed or pooped on it, which makes me happy 😂

he currently standing on top of my chest, after he woke me up at 6am (my usual time anyway so it’s not a problem). I do think it’ll be good for our bond. He switched around from sleeping on the floor and sleeping on the end of the mattress throughout the night, and then only after the sky was awake, that he decided that it was time for me to be to. Definitely worth it 😌

Aw haha that’s a great routine! Yep, he’ll definitely be staying for now.

ignore the mess, as I said, I’m redoing my room, and I took my bed down so it looks a little hectic (all bunny safe though)

Even though I didn’t sleep very well, because the buns would position themselves on opposite sides of the bed, leaving me just the middle, I do miss hearing the pitter-patter of their little paws hopping up onto the bed at midnight and staying with me until early morning.

They totally got fed up with me fidgeting and decided the sofa is better haha

My male lop-eared Baba likes to spend time with me in bed. He has a staircase made out of pillows on one side of the bed and he loves to run up and down these exploring the bedroom and then back up to get a cuddle. When he gets tired he likes to cuddle up next to me for a snooze. He did have an accident once when he smelled the scent of another bun who had been on the bed earlier. Since then the bed has been exclusively his and he never had another accident. He is such a good boy and the most affectionate bun any one could ever imagine.
