Is anyone else getting recommendations on YouTube for videos of dying rabbits? I've watched a lot of rabbit videos like Lenin the Bunny and Rabbits101, so the algorithm sees the word rabbit and thinks that it's appropriate to recommend for me.

I don't understand why anyone would post these. Why would you film that?

You might think it's to raise awareness so that you can look for warning signs, but these seem to be posted by clueless people who don't know why their rabbit is sick or what to do. It's horrific.

I've reported the 2 that came up already as they were both rabbits in distress and I think this falls under inappropriate content. I'm not sure what else I can do.

(Edit: Don't get me wrong, that might sound harsher than it's meant)

I would say, just don't watch everything an algorithm tries to shove down your throat. It's not worth the time.
It can be hard to not click, but that makes one aware of how good those websites are at making it addictive. If you start looking for things you can be offended about, well, not a good move.
Making you think that you can change anything in that bubble just draws you in.

The person might be doing it so they can share it on a site like this or with their vet, to get an opinion or idea of what's going on. Not all videos posted on youtube are necessarily done to share with the world at large.

Yeah. I get recommended a lot of not so favorable rabbits videos as well, then I even out my YouTube algorithm with whatever crazy nonsense I like, such as Godzilla or Minecraft. It helps really mess with the algorithm so much, it stops trying to recommend videos.

Very true, but it shows you a thumbnail of the video content and if you accidentally hover your mouse over the video it will silently autoplay, which is in itself distressing.

It keeps suggesting I watch Mark Roson interviews as well, I haven't, but that's less distressing. I don't know why. I think it's because I was watching stuff about David Bowie.

Good idea. They should take them down if so. They don't need to leave it up for 2 years.
