Does anyone have nationwide insurance and have a idea if any plans cover spay and neuter?

is the insurance worth it? Thanks

I have nationwide for my dogs but considering it for my bunnies. That being said, I had the humane society spay/neuter mine and it was pretty inexpensive. In my area is was $50 each.

Their Whole Pet Plan covers pretty much everything. That being said it’s pricey and varies by area. I’m in NYC (presuming one of the more expensive) I pay $40 a mos. This covers 90% of expenses after a $250 deductible. So $480 per year plus the $250 before it starts paying out. So I’m spending $780 out of pocket first.

My vet costs are about $130 for a well visit (so I’ll make sure to squeeze in 2 this year) plus approximately $400, that’s $660 for me for wellness/preventative care. So I don’t think their full coverage wellness plan is worth it but given it is my first year as a bunny parent I figured I’d err on the side of caution! After this year I might change to their emergency only plan which I believe they quoted me at $25 per mos? I was thinking of having nothing and just putting money aside, but a friend of mine just got a $3K vet bill after 5 days of treatment. Insurance is one of those things you hope to never need!

I would call to get your own quote and maybe some estimates from your vet to see what might work for you!
