Hay Cubes

Hello! I have been buying these hay cubes for Theo for a while now, and he really loves them! The only issue is that he gets 2 a day so they don't last long at all! I was thinking I could buy a large bag (50 lbs!) of hay cubes that are made for horses so that they will last longer, but the only ones I can find are a mix of Timothy and Alfalfa. I know Theo shouldn't eat Alfalfa Hay, but I was wondering if these might be ok in moderation? They also have something called "Bentonite" in them and I'm not sure what that is, so I figure it's not safe for Theo.

I give mine timothy cubes--not such a large bag, but nothing else besides the timothy.

Can't see ingredients list on the ones you've been getting. Best to stick with those with nothing but timothy listed in the ingredients.

I'm not a fan of hay cubes. Bunnies need long stemmed hay for dental wear and I would worry that giving them hay cubes reduces their hay consumption.

We are a huge fan of hay cubes. Great for their teeth. We do buy the huge bags.
Our rabbit loves them. We don't really limit them.

Thanks for all of your thoughts. I have decided not to get that specific large bag because it is a mix of Alfalfa and Timothy, and Theo doesn't need the Alfalfa.

That's the kind I have too! Funny story is, my rabbit could care less for these cubes so I tried to see if House Rabbit Society was accepting donations but due to COVID and RHDV, they cannot accept it so they've been sitting in the corner since March. And I bought the 10lb too
