Hey everyone.

I’m drawing my best friend a card that will be to her, when she move into her first ever own apartment. So she will get a gift and of course a card with the gift. My brain have literally stopped working. So I have no idea what the dragonite it’s looking at or what it should be.

A few ideas:

1) Cherry blossom branch, with pink flowers and a few petals catching in the wind and a blue sky.

2) Blue sky

3) Another dragon type or bird pokemon flying in the sky

4) A butterfly

5) Other ideas

I have no idea how to shadow things and fix lighting, because I’ve never been good at drawing. Nearly failed my art classes when I was younger xD

I like the first idea, it sounds very beautiful! And if you drew the Pokemon it is very good. Your art teacher must have been super strict and not have had much generosity towards people that are not as good of an artist as he/r. I think you did an AMAZING job drawing that!

I’ll do the first then, it will take the longest to draw but will be fun. I just need to look up how the blossom are. I only draw from looking at different picture. I’m not that good when things become too abstract and I can’t see it in front of me. Which have always made me a slow learner.

My art teacher was strict and hard to please. It was the same with the music teacher nearly failing me and I know how to read sheets both for G-clef, F-clef and alto-clef because I knew how to play piano, violin and viola. People that didn’t know how to play instrument and how to hold tempo got better grades than me. I easily lost my interest for those classes

First thing that comes to mind is a dragon besides a cave entrance, adored with a sign "My first cave", flowers etc. around the cave. :)

I'd leave that corner free it gives feeling of freedom and space for dreams :) Maybe something like sky but not too heavy, there's already good composition all weight in the right bottom corner I like it. But you are creator so just do what you feel is right, if you'd add more dragons and butterflies and will fill all empty spaces it will look good too, just different. We'll be waiting here for results anyways

I made a cave and planing to paint ivy growing around the cave. Then the rest will just be blue sky and and grass :)

I need help what I should do.

I’m thinking to maybe do:

1. A black silhouette of a cat
2. A white, orange tabby cat.

It’s supposed to be a fat semi long haired cat which one of my friends have, it’s a birthday card. That will have a fun message or rhyme in it with a cat theme. Because her whole presents have a cat theme, she loves cats and she love the colour of gray scale (black) but have an orange tabby.

So I can’t decide 🙄

You could go for the greyscale version because the way the card is already drawn i think it would look nicer!
You might just want to put the tabby's front paw a liiitle bit tucked underneath her so that it lines up. Or you might want to try adding an elbow tuft to the leg so it won't look so stiff.
But they're just reccommendations, go for the way you feel like!

I gave up trying to make a tabby cat, my level of drawing is too low. After many hours of trying I gave up, so I made it into a black silhouette. I hope everyone can see a fat fluffy cat 🤣

The card is not done yet, but at least the cat is done.
