Litter training or territorial?

Hello everyone my bunny who's about 7 months old will soon be going in for a spay but I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion. I'm having trouble with my bunny wanting to poop and pee on my bed constantly. I thought it was territorial but now I'm thinking maybe she thinks its another litter box. Shes really good at using her litter box doesnt poop or pee on carpets or random places only rarely does she leave lil droppings by accident shell even just sit in her litterbox to poop but not eat the hay. The thing is once she gets to my bed shell start peeing and pooping I thought if it was territorial they just leave the poops scattered around but this girl will just sit there in front of me all calm and then shell get up and ill see a pile of poop. She likes sleeping on the end of my bed and she doesnt really pee or poop there. Shell also leave piles of poop while I'm petting her and she only does this while on my bed.

So I'm wondering does she think the bed is another litterbox or is it just territorial behavior? Anyone else experience this before a spay or neuter?

Rabbits have a huge desire for peeing and pooping on soft things. Its more unusual for them not to, but you may hear people saying it because we tend to be more vocal when our pets are the minority and do something surprising!

It's something that can be difficult to deter because it's pretty innate. Some people bar access or cover their bed in something that makes it less soft, and I've heard others put a litter box up on the bed as a place to go.

I think it's a behavior that's generally constant, regardless of spay/neuter for most rabbits.

For my bunnies they stopped peeing and spreading their droppings on the bed and couches after being neutered.

But I would also say if you haven’t cleaned the bed good and it still have the smell of urine. The bed is definitely a litter box in her eyes ^^

I think it's because I was the sheets and blankets so often that she wants to go poop and pee on the bed cause she doesnt do this on any other soft surface in the room. Did your bunnies just sit there and poop piles of poop or was it always spread out?

First time it was spreading then later on, one of my bucks found his spot and just sat there. You will also need to wash the mattress cover and the duvet, If the urine went through the blankets and sheet.
