Does do not remove dead kits from the nest so it’s very important to check on them daily, not just for that but to make sure they’re being fed. Normally, the nest only needs hay and the mom’s fur. You’ll need to change out the hay when it’s wet but try to save as much of the hair as you can, to reuse.

I did check I only have one . And it's adorable and lively... I found one dead yesterday, so sad. It's removed and the one is doing great. Thanks
 
Wait... so you had them both together while they were unneutered? If he was in there after she delivered then she is almost positively pregnant again. How has she not had more litters with them being together for 2 years? Ok, now I'm really confused. You said they have been together for 2 years but you just adopted HER October 25. After your sure that she is not pregnant again, you will need to get her spayed because after 3-4 years old they have an 80% chance of getting uterine cancer. And what kind of shavings are you using? Pine and Cedar are toxic to rabbits and only Aspen shavings should be used. I would put straw underneath of it with hay and moms fur on top for softness and warmth.
 
If today is day 7 then there is a slim chance that she was pregnant prior to October 25. Rabbits are only pregnant for 31 days. Hardly ever do I see or hear them go over that. So it sounds like she got pregnant the night or the day after you brought her home and put her in with your unneutered male.

She became pregnant the night before we adopted them. She ripped his fur off his tail last Sunday, so I separated them , the next night she made her bed, the next night she gave birth. I had no idea she was pregnant when I took him out. Yes, they had been together for two years and never a pregnancy because she wouldn't let him. The night before I took them they were in a box 2x2 and she couldn't get away from him, I'm guessing. Was exactly 32 days later she gave birth.
She hasn't been with him since two days before she gave birth. She's not pregnant again. Thats for sure.
Baby us doing well. And no toxic bedding was added.
Everything is good. No worries.

You can neuter him now and her after she stops nursing so in about 6-7 weeks from now. Male must be kept separately after neutering for 6-8 weeks as he still can impregnate a female after neutering, and after you spay her it's about 6-8 weeks she calms down and you can reintroduce them as completely new rabbits hopefully they will bond. You will have to do it in a neutral to both territory, please do some research about bonding rabbits there you'll find some very useful information, many videos very helpful.

I didn't realize that about him still being able to impregnate her after being neutered..wow
They both lived in the same pen together here, so I'm sure his scent is still in her pen though. I was going to put him in an open beside her in hers (which was his) I'm assuming her baby is ok to stay with her during that time? Bonding has already happened...

Ok thanks. Since they've been together so long, I'm hoping it will be an easy transition compared to a totally different bunny.. Fingers crossed lol
I will be looking for a good home for this baby. Two is plenty for me. Lol
 
So, my baby bun is 11 weeks old on Tuesday. I removed mom for her spay 9 days ago. Dad has been neutered as well. ( two months ago)
All three are separated, but next to each other. My vet stated she can resume normal activities after two weeks. Can I start bonding mom and dad again? Or should I wait longer.
Also when I bond them, will I have to sterilize the pen from the baby and mom? Baby will be moved separate so I can get it fixed.
