I couldn't find any info on this particular brand of pine horse stall pellets. I just picked these up at Farm Supply, are they ok to use for my rabbits? I do not use a grate over their litter boxes so they will have direct contact with the pine pellets. And Butterscotch might try to eat them but hopefully not. I'm gonna try them.

Thank you!20190713_141054.jpg

Yes, those are fine. Pine has toxic phenols in it, which is removed during the processing of pellets. Any kiln dried pine product is animal safe. According to Tractor Supply, these pellets are 100% kiln dried.

Be sure to put hay over top of the pellets... makes it softer on their feet, entices them to go in and use the box, and helps the litter box last longer between cleanings.
Will do, thank you! I'm excited to try this. Butterscotch's litter box has only hay in it so it's so nasty to clean. No absorption, ick!
