My show rabbit will be three next year, and I’m new to rabbits so I don’t know what the usual span of showing them is. Just curious, as we had our first show today and he was absolutely fantastic.

It depends on the breed and line of the rabbit. Some breeds have a longer show life than others (and some start later than others as well). Netherland dwarfs often take a couple years for their heads to fully mature so older rabbits can still be competitive sometimes (although if they get too old, they start to lose condition & fullness of hindquarters). I wouldn't be surprised if some netherlands were four or five and still winning their classes at local shows.

My boy is a Netherland Dwarf! Good to know.
