hello
so i used to have a fuzzy carpet in my room but my rabbit decided it was actually his chew toy
he also peed and pooped quite a lot on it (he's not fixed)
does anyone have any affordable carpet suggestions that are tightly woven to prevent my bun from ruining it
it'd also be even better if it could be cleaned easily in case he has an accident
he's never peed on the carpets in the living room (they weren't fuzzy) or on the blanket i'm currently using on my floor, so i'm hoping if i get a tightly woven one it'll be fine

Are you looking for wall-to-wall carpet or an area rug?

Sounds like you already know to look for something that doesn't have loose pieces easy to grab. You might want to consider some inexpensive area rug and just consider it more disposable so you don't stress if he does decide to chew it. Sometimes it is just a matter of trial and error to see what he won't chew.

yea just an area rug so he can feel more comfortable running around
you're probably right i'll just have to try a few

I like my cheap microfiber rug from costco(though they may not have them still). It's soft so won't be too abrasive for bunny feet, the carpet fibers are more tightly packed so not as tempting for little buns to grab a hold of and pull out(though they still manage a few on occasion), and it's small enough I can throw it in the front loader to wash when it get's too dirty.

Thank you!!

I buy clearance/sale rugs from Meijers. Christmas/New Year's time is the best time for sales there, as they're getting rid of the previous year's designs.

For my bunnies with beds it’s hit or miss. Sometimes they like the beds and other times they rip it to shreds lol I would agree with JBun and buy a cheap rug as it may work and if not keep trying! Hope this helps!!
