Hey everyone [emoji4]

Myself I have had 4 rabbits in my life, 3 right now and one before. What I’ve noticed are that all my rabbits except one are extremely clingy towards people but I still have a favorite breed.

The first rabbit I ever own, I got when I was 8 years old as a pet. I can say, I was not a good pet owner back then and my dad had to step up. But he was still extremely clingy and tolerated everything I did to him (picking up, showing him off to friends and so on). I can say now, he got a lot of unhealthy snacks everyday but lived up to 8 years (passed away because of bad hay, these thing can easily happen during winter when you can’t find good hay). He was a bunny that would jump into my arms when he was scared and give a lot of kisses, which is why I have a weakness for netherland dwarf bunnies.

I also own a netherland dwarf rabbit now and he’s the same except the jumping into arms, he runs to me when being scared and he will kiss almost everyone he sees. He will follow you as a shadow.

So I truly have the concept netherland dwarf are extremely cuddly, playful and a lovely bunny breed. They are my favorite breed but I’m thinking to get another breed after a year or two. I want to have a kit from a breeder because 3 of my rabbits I’ve own are or had been adopted.

In my household there’s one french loop, a holland loop and a Netherland dwarf rabbit.

So I want to hear about your favorite breeds and why, so maybe I now what the next breed will be in my household[emoji5]

Mini Rex is my favorite but I want a Netherland Dwarf so bad. I think Flemishes are cute and I would love to have one but big breeds are too much for me.

I can understand about big breeds, my french lop eat one big bicycle basket hay everyday. So hay that would last for three- four months only last one month for me now.

I’m also interested in Flemishes and mini rex, I think black mini rex have a lovely color and fur. Also those mini rex with spots are extremely cute, looking like a bunny Dalmatian.

How are the mini rex temperament?

Really it depends on each rabbit, my males are pretty laid-back attention lovers, I have one girl that's shy but always wants attention, the other only wants anything to do with you if you have food or she thinks you do, and my other female is very independent and not a big attention rabbit, but she is also my show rabbit and does very well with being handled. One of my boys are the broken, what you call spotted, any color with white is called broken, My other buck is a solid black otter. And it's the nail clippings that would be hard, no one helps me when I do this.

You have to watch buying rabbits with so little color because they may be Charlies, which can possibly have Megacolon and that's a whole lot of health bills that you will have to pay.

I know about that, the breeder I watch for mini rex often show their rabbits on shows. Also the environment the rabbits live are good (they have a lot of space and pens), so I think the breeder care about their rabbits.

When I choice a breeder I often pick one that care about their rabbits, I still have contact with the breeder I bought my netherland dwarf from. She often ask how my rabbit are and follow me on instagram to see his life.

I already think vet expenses go over the roof with having to twice a year vaccinate all my rabbits.

So I’m careful with my bunnies, having them all vaccinated and insurance. So I’ll also watch after the health [emoji4]

I am partial to the Velveteen Lops, a newer breed not yet recognized in the ARBA. I love the Mini Rex's and ND, I actually raise all three. The V-lops I find just have the most sweetest puppy-dog temperament, and they are so soft and cute with their long lop ears. Beautiful buns. I also like the Plush lop, again, a breed not recognized by the ARBA.

What's the difference between velveteen lops and plush lops? I've only heard about velveteen lops before and know that breed exist in my country :)

It exist so many different breeds and I just want to own one of all, because all look so cute and lovely.

Himalayans! They're so laid back and cuddly, very unlike normal rabbits. Also are healthy and low maintenance. I generally like the smaller rabbits, I'm a small, short person and I have an easier time handling those. Harlequins (the breed) do have a special place in my heart though.

I always liked the look of Belgian Hares. They look so graceful, just like Hares although they are really rabbits and not hares. I also like Arctic Hares as they run on two legs and I think this is so cool and unusual and weird looking. I don’t know about their personalities though.

For a Favorite pet rabbit, it has to be a large breed for me. I’m a big slow person so having a big slow Rabbit is perfect. I had a checkered giant before and now I’ve got a Flemish Giant .
Playful and active sometimes but mostly all about snuggling and snoozing. Sometimes seeks me out for snuggling but mostly sees me and licks the blanket she’s laying on, as if to get me to join her- which I sometimes do. Such a great personality! I worry my next bun won’t live up to such a great personality as my current bun.

Little rabbits are very cute but I would be too nervous to cuddle it. They are so tiny! Withmy current 17 pound rabbit, we can cuddle and take naps together and I don’t have to worry about falling asleep and squishing her.

Oh, the Velveteen Lops have bodies like the English Lop, and the plush Lops have bodies of a Mini Lop, I believe it is. I’ll have to double check it’s not a Holland

I have a Mini Rex/Harlequin! Though, I would love a Lionhead or a larger rabbit. Every time someone new feels my rabbit they freak out! Someone said that when you touch my rabbit it feels like you are, but at the same time you aren't touching something!
