Rabbit bottom biting!

I got 2 female rabbits in October at 3 months old. They are from the same litter so they have been together since birth. They have always gotten along really well. I got them spayed 2 days ago and have noticed they are both bitting each other’s butts. I have seen them bite each other‘s butts a couple times before they got spayed but it was rare. So far it has not lead to any other aggressive behavior. What does this mean?

My girls had a fight a few days after their spay, it took me 8 weeks to get them back together with various mistakes, I think separating them until they are recovered is best, I was told from here that their smells are different after the are spayed so they no longer recognise each other, plus they are in pain and moody, they could easily fight and it will be harder to reintroduce them .

dear kasb,--spaying{surgery}-for a bun is no fun,--watch the stitches,donot get pulled out--,fur grows back fast,did the dvm offer meatacam for pain??-sincerely james waller
