Hey so I have a question and also wondering if this happened to anyone else..so I have a hamster named Ruby she is white all over and beautiful but today as she was walking on my lap I was eating food and some dripped on her and she got all greasy I cleaned most of it off with water and dried her as best as I could and then she did most of the rest of it but she still seems kinda greasy, should I clean her again? Or just let her continue to clean herself off?

She seemed fine, no problems other then the greasy fur, she was walking around and she even licked me.

I had a hamster so I know about them. Wipe her off with baby wipes and then run a paper towel over her. Keep an eye on her and if you notice anything off about her, give her lots of water and natural pedialyte (no added colors) to clear it out of her system

I know hamsters have a tendency to lick their fur. She could lick at least some you may have missed.

Yeah I realized what you meant after I wrote that..then I'm like well that's stupid and yeah I totally agree with you about she could of ingested some but she really seems fine, acting normal and peeping and pooping and eating and drinking still cleaning herself so I'm still keeping an eye on her but I think I'm lucky it wasn't worse..her fur is still kinda funny looking but it's getting better..

You should never put water on your hamster! Maybe perhaps just wait for it to remove or gently clean it up with towels or a damp dish cloth.
