My rabbit will jump up when you hold them. Is this normal

It started with Blackie Chan. When you would pet his ears and hold him, he would balance, lean backwards, and stare into your eyes. He would start going back further and further as time went on. We only noticed it in him. Big Wig wouldn't do it. Then he started as well. He going back further as well. Is this normal? Someone said it was because they didn't like it, and were trying to get away. Or maybe they just love it, so their telling you to keep doing it? I really want my buns to be safe. Thanks so much!
 
I'll show you a picture of Chan doing it. My sister is not pulling back on his ears at all, just barely touching them. Whenever we stop touching their ears, they'll go back to just sitting on your chest
