I need some advice please.
About three months ago my brother left to go to school and asked if we would watch his rabbit for him. We agreed because we have a spare bedroom and we would allow the rabbit to roam the bedroom free. So he has tons of room to exercise. That being said my wife and I also own three dogs and with work and taking care of the dogs we don't have much time to socialise with the rabbit. We mainly only have time to give him his food, clean his litter, give him new water and give him new hay. So we may only see him 5-10 mins a day.
I started to notice he is not very interested in his food and sort of distance so I read online bunnies get lonely. We would love to get him a friend but unfortunately another animal is a lot in our house and so is the extra cost. We also don't know when my brother will be coming back from school it could be a year or more.
So my question should i talk to my brother about trying to re home him or give him to a rescue? I feel he has it really good because he has so much space which he will never get at a rescue or someone else's place so would he still be better off with us or is the lonely thing worst?
