Alfalfa hay

This is not a question just a random post. I have a huge box of small pet select alfalfa hay. I also have Timothy hay from oxbow I think... anyway the alfalfa per select hay is so fresh and good but it's super messy. So this weekend I was feeding her only the Timothy hay Bc it makes less of a mess and I was entertaining my in laws. So today I got out the alfalfa hay for my baby and she was so happy and hasn't stopped eating it. It breaks my heart thinking I have to wean her off of alfalfa in 2 months [emoji26]

I am going to try to mix the alfalfa with the Timothy but I just hope she likes the Timothy hay as much as the alfalfa eventually.

Aww. Your idea to mix the two hays is a good one. That should certainly help when the time comes.

Don't worry. She'll learn to love the timothy too. And you'll still be able to offer other types of grass hays too.
