Spitting out meds

Hey all! I'm back, with a resolution to stay more active. I kinda miss u guys.

Any way I have a Holland lop female with a UTI on abx. Nessie is MUCH better, but is now a back to her little stinker self! Months ago when she had liquid meds she figured out how to spit it out. So I asked the vet for pills. I rolled the pill into a smushed raisin. This worked well for a couple of days, then I caught her eating the raisin and spitting out the pill! Sheesh...pets!😊

Any other ideas on giving rabbits meds?

It was my understanding that if liquid medicine is not syringed directly into her mouth, but rather put between her cheek and her side teeth, then she can't help but swallow it.

Maybe that will work.

Thanks! I will try that next time. My other bunny takes meds so easily, I haven't had reason to try different things. Nestle is such a unique rabbit!
