I've recently got two new rabbits and I was told they were already 16 weeks. They are both girls and I was told that they might start to fight as they get older and might develop cancer. I'm thinking of getting them spayed and neutered, what is the best age to do this? They have bonded really well already since we bought them together from the same place, however they are beginning to chase each other around sometimes in their play area. Should I be worried about this or are they just playing about?

If they are beginning to chase each other around, then, yes, keep a close eye. That can lead to further aggression and possibly fighting.

They can be spayed as soon as your vet ok's it. Some vets will go ahead and spay right now at 16 weeks. Others prefer to wait until 5-6 months of age. (Neuter is for males.)
