is grass hay okay for bunnies?
Andy has been very picky lately and eats it only a tiny bit.
he is 3 or 4 months old, does he only eat a little bit because he is still young?
my sister gets bales for our goats and i usually use that for him.
(positive it is not alfalfa)
also the hay rack in the back ( my avatar) i am not using anymore. (it was an old magazine rack)

Typically hay is broken down into two categories: legume hay (alfalfa) and grass hays (timothy, orchard, brome, coastal, meadow, oat, wheat, barley, etc. )

Legume/alfalfa is good for young growing rabbits. Adult rabbits should be on grass hay. It's ok to switch young buns over to grass hay early however.

i have no idea what the owner gave him before we got him :)foreheadsmack: i should have asked)
but now i do see him eating his hay, thanks guys,
yeah, i was wondering orchard grass for a more sweet (?) hay to fill toys and such.
when do you consider a rabbit an adult? he is 3-5 months old. (they said 3 months but the ad was posted 2 months ago)
